I laugh at meager insults thrown at me or my dead wife from the safety of someone's computer. Hell I'd probably laugh at you if you said it to my face. The comment surprised me a little, but it's not like I've never heard someone say she was ugly. not after her death but... Well my mom mentioned something about it a month ago, but I don't give a shit. Unfortunatly when someone dies the good memories aren't the only ones that remain. I try to dwell in the present however. Obsessing over the past can be devastating. I don't dwell on the good or bad about someone who's dead I just don't think about it. It doesn't do you any good.

'sides, physical beauty is only part of hte equation. If she made you happy, even for a little while, that's what matters. There are thousands of gorgeous girls out there who I wouldn't want to speak to, let alone have a relationship with, just because of their personalities/how they make me feel

I think you guys are assholes, insult each others fat whore mothers if you like but if you know someone is grieving from a loss don't kick them while they are down.

honestly i can sorta understand what indescribability is saying,,,, just cuz someone dies does not make them pardoned of any sins n shit they did while alive..... n quite frankly i dont change my thoughts on a person just cuz they fukkin kick the bucket,,,,, just like i wont go to calling hours or funerals of people i have no respect for simply because they are "family".....

so just fer shitznfukkingigglez here,,, say my "father" ups n dies tomorrow,,,,,, just on the mere notion that he is my father i am expected in society to go to his funeral..... fuk too fuk you...... sorry nope..... wont do it ,,,,

so then say his ol friend dave calls n gives his sympathies to me.... roflmao..... i am supposed to agree with him and say yes he was a good family man,,,, hard worker,,,, upstanding fire dept n rescue squad member n oh yes lets not forget did a double tour in vietnam,..... sorry wrong....... nope nope n nope,,, ol dave is gonna fukkin hear child molestin fukkin son of a bitch shoulda died long ago yadda yadda yadda......

n anyone that would do anything other wise is nothing short of a bloody fool n plastic in my world n i have no place for that type of person around me.....

n no i show no respect i spose in societies eyes,,, but if thats how societies defines respect now,,, i want no part of it...

I mostly agree with what indescribability is saying, too. Just because someone dies does not automatically make them a good person or worthy of respect. That doesn't mean you've any right to say hurtful things to people mourning, but you shouldn't be required to hold them up on a pedestal just because they're dead. Death shouldn't force someone to change their opinions on a person. It'd be stupid to pretend you like someone for the sake of everyone else just because they died. Hitler's dead, does that mean we should all suddenly say nice things about him and respect him? Absolutely not.

Nothing annoys me more than people who use someone's death as an excuse to have people feeling sorry for them. That's so incredibly selfish. I feel bad that you have to experience that, but isn't it most likely that person is better off? I understand hurting, I understand loss, but I do not understand those who use it to attack others or wallow in their own self-pity.

It's especially annoying when they didn't really like or have anything to do with that person. Case in point, a kid in my class died when I was a sophomore. Sure, we were all sad, even those of us who didn't like her much, just because it was a human life taken so young. Anyway, a bunch of girls took this as their chance to nab the "spotlight" and were saying how horrible it was that their "best friend" was dead. Screaming hysterically, throwing themselves on the floor, making a huge scene about a girl they barely even knew. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather the people who don't have much to do with me or dislike me to remain that way after my death. I don't expect people to say nice things about me just because I'm dead.

In the same light, in hopes of avoiding the people who don't even read the posts and just start screeching about insensitivity, I've lost both of my grandfathers, both of whom I was very close to. The one I was closest to died in January of '05 and yes, I feel like a piece of my soul has been missing ever since he died. But I do not expect you to feel sorry for me, nor do I expect you to pretend you liked him if you didn't.

[IMG] No problem, man. I really don't think you're an asshole, lol. Sorry that my post was so long, though, I tend to go off on rants that last for awhile...No wonder my English teacher had such a problem with my essays, lol.

I agree on that. My grandpa on my dad's side is in a nursing home has been given a month I refuse to see the man even throughout the persistent phone calls ffrom my paternal grandma and dad an dad's brother...in fact they make me wanna hurl and see him even less. he drank himself to death got a million liver transplants because he bought them illegally (I am assuming) and still drank and he touched my dad's sister and called my mother a whore on she and my dads wedding day...yet I am supossed to go and pay my respects to some drunk pervented man who perpetuates incest in his family....fuck no

some people are seriously not even good enough to be the dirt I fucking trample my manolos over, whether they are dead or alive

Maybe not today, but I assure you the day will come. Almost everybody I'm friends with on here has thought me an asshole at one time or another even. It's part of who I am.
