One of the strangest albums, it's all one big musique concrete piece.

Not that great to listen to but very interesting. Like Stockhausen.

 

he's the kitchen manager.. i just tell him how gay his ipod is.. he calls it his gay pod.. hes not gay or anything.. just has a gay sense of musical taste.. they put up with my music.. like when i play a 4hr phish show.. or decide to listen to something a little more on the awkward side like mindless self indulgence or some crust punk.. .. i've played trance.. they deal with it.. so i deal with theirs.. with my stabs throughout

 

well honestly if it's really the music he likes then you can't fight that?

great album.

As for mainstream music. I don't listen to it, ever. From what I've heard recently I don't think I'm missing anything.

 

by "mainstream" music i mean... anything remotely archetypal.

Like Pink Floyd. Or Metallica. Or something like that. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them (have every PF album) but I just noticed every album seems to be some indie band/unfamiliar genre.

hmm, I can kind of see your point. But I don't think that people really listen to popular genre-defining music constantly. I'm a Floyd fan as well but I don't listen to them very often. Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't hear anyone ever listening to "mainstream" music at all, unless it's rap.

yea I like to mix it up though... Only A Northern Song is fun, Hey Bulldog is catchy, It's All Too Much is epic. Plus it all sounds super drugged out and trippy. But SGt. Pepper's is better

But it's probably the worst either way. I just get tired of hearing the same shit.

 

the beatles are my favorite band, but i have no favorite album.

it's a 3 way tie between Revolver, The White Album, and Help.

 

For me, it's Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, and the White Album.

Some of there singles like Rain, the Inner Light, etc. are also fucking awesome.

 

i like abbey road, pepper, and white album the best i guess. although i also really like rubber soul, revolver help, let it be and magical mystery tour. ahh too many great albums!
