Erm, perhaps we can clear this up once and for all.
All I actulally said is go back and read our posts.
    Anybody care to do that?
    I did.
In the cold light of day, can't quite see why this has got so out of hand.
Anyhoo, I think the best thing is for me to put you both on my ignore list...as you are both coming acroos as patronising and I can't take it anymore.
    Problem solved.

Edit: well I would If I could find it...*cough*

When the system collapses. This whole thread is a joke ! The system is collapsing! Heard that back in the early 70s when we had long gas lines. The 80s when housing and the mills were in trouble same whine the system is collapsing ! And now again. Hey guess WHAT! things turned around then, and they will turn around again. Oh ye of little faith. Find a better place and take your ass there. Well i'm gonna carry on. I don't care what the rest of you do.

    Peace

to each there own i suppose.

Some thoughts on our situation.(This goes hand in hand with the video i posted earlier today i feel.)

all over the web this weekend there is chatter about speculated closure or suspension of all trading on the stock markets as the economic situation deteriorates.
It is a good bet that if this happens, cash withdrawals from banks may be restricted or closed including ATM's.
We may see public panic start on the banks, food and fuel outlets.
to those concerned with this possibility i would like to offer these tips.

    1. Use your own observations of any unusual activity around financial institutions, ATM's, food retailers, fuel outlets, camping stores and gun retailers.
Things to look for are long lines, restrictions on purchases, retail stock levels, any additional security, private or otherwise around retailers, utilities and specific state and Fed government buildings and installations.
Any unusual or increased road traffic both civilian, police and military.

    2. Know where your family and friends are at all times, have contingency plans in place and rehearse them. Have safe places planned in case they cannot get home or you lose contact with them.

    3. Find alternate road routes from the normal highways and main roads, practice using them night and day from both directions.

    4. Have ready cash on hand, as much as you can get. Profiteers will reduce your buying power.

    5. Buy extra prescription and over the counter medication.

    6. Keep your fuel tanks topped up, and additional fuel in storage.

    7. Keep a small back pack close at hand in your vehicle with basic essentials in case you have to abandon your vehicle and walk to a pre designated safe place or home.

    8. Review and rehearse your home security, emergency lighting, alternate cooking, heating options and, evacuation (last option)

    9. Know how to safely get home on foot if transportation fails.

    10. Use what ever and all information resources at your disposal to keep appraised of the situation.

    11. Other last minute preps, prioritize and act on them.

    12. Have at least 7 days non perishable food and drinking water on hand. (preferably a 30 day supply.)

13.In the event of power outage,Consume your perishable refrigerated food first and ration it, don't over consume it.

What ever you do, don't panic. It is highly infectious and is counter productive in a situation where calm logic is essential.

PS. just to lighten up a bit, lots of toilet paper please. ;)

I sincerely hope these thoughts have been beneficial to someone out there concerned with the possibilities that could arise from our current situation.
If anyone cares to add to the list please feel free to do so as im sure i left something out..:)

It's all about doom and gloom. Just a few days ago you were off to be with Hugo Chavez. and I wished you luck. And I still do ! When the system collapses. It won't ! So I look for the best not the worst. But to each his own. This is still a relatively country but I agure some points about that. However how will it be with good ole Hugo ? Send me a postcard.

    Peace

well I love you tooooo ! He put you on ignore ? How shallow of him. maybe counting cars was more appealing to him. All I did was state what you said. Why not take it back if you didn't mean it ? Hogo is worried about you! UGLY ! I'm not ugly at all. Have a safe trip. We will still be here. When it all collapses.

    Peace

Credit crunch-hit Brits turn to bartering

    Sun, Oct 12 07:05 PM
London, Oct 12 (ANI): With the global credit crunch hitting big time, British consumers have turned to bartering as a way to cope with it.
Most of the families across the UK have started swapping surplus food and drink, personal possessions, their skills, and even their homes in a bid to save money.
The economic crisis has in recent months seen a huge demand for websites such as Barterswap UK, ValueforPeople.co.uk or Tradeyourskills.co.uk, which act as online marketplaces for those who want to swap their wares.
One such website is the Time bank, which encourages people to be of service with their skills, without and monetary gains, and in return to call on the services of fellow members.
The swapping schemes have been sprouting up across the country in the past two months, and smaller barter websites are also reporting a significant boost to their businesses.
Judy Berger, who set up the Whatsmineisyours fashion website four years ago to cater for customers who were interested in trading and swapping clothes, has noticed a huge increase in the number of swaps.
"When we started in 2004 the economy was strong and the site used to specialise in sales," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
"But now it has gone completely the other way around and we have had a 33 per cent increase in the number of swaps.
"We are now averaging about 1,500 different swaps a month and that is because of the economic climate," she added.
The schemes range from swapping of books, clothes, food, service, and anything that can be of use and that can be swapped.
"I think without a doubt these kinds of schemes are becoming more popular as times get harder. Because there is no cash involved you eliminate VAT and income tax," Dominic Littlewoood, a financial expert and presenter on the BBC's One Show said.
"People are counting these pennies and these totally cashless schemes are becoming more popular," he added. (ANI)

So negative dude.. Like a bad trip man.

If you leave the land of hippies and T.V. watchers people are worried not because they are paranoid but they are worried about the facts.

This is more then a 30 year housing bubble this could lead to/trigger the “oil peak” people have been giving warnings of the oil peak for decades but they aren’t real because they aren’t on T.V.

People should really educate themselves on it a basic run down.
    http://www.chrismartenson.com/crash-course or google “oil peak”

    The system IS… UNSUSTAINABLE…

And the government has no plain for us when it falls apart.

The only plain the government has for us is martial law and no knock raids.

Now back to dreads, bongo drums and bong hits.
