I'm against one world government.... It's highly unlikely anything like that would ever happen ny other way than through a police state, and it's nice to have choices... Being able to get away is important at times...
i only want one if we the people do it the 'Novus Ordo Seclorum' or whatever it is on the dollar bill is not what I want at all. the one I hope for will throw the existing hierarchy out on their asses.
damn... thats a little too radical man. i mean, yeah, the US is making strides towards an event like this, it could never truely happen (i believe). I believe in the power of every individual. At the very beginning of this "RED" or whatever, i believe the common man would start to revolt. We would march to our deaths, i'd rather die fighting, than be a prisoner to my own nation. I'd watch what you say, anyone who feels compelled to rospond. May i remind you that the government watches the internet and will come to your house and arrest you if they find ANY reason to bleleive you are a terrorist. One of my teachers' husbands was from moracco (sp) and had an AOL screenname. well i dunno what it said, because she "may not talk about it", but the FBI knocked on her door and took her husband out to a black van for interregation because of his screen name. weird huh?
We never expected a massive terrorist attack of an unknown origin to attack the United States. We woke up that morning, turned on the TVs, and were like HOLY SHIT! It could happen that suddenly.
i dont want to offend anyone with this, but that attack instilled fear into people..which is important for a government that wants to domiante (the world)... U, as Americans, have to ask yourselves how much you know about any other country than america...because other countries...well we know as much about america as you do. You dont even trust your government. And i wouldn't either.
Clockwork, what you've said is totally reasonable, and non offensive. Thankfully, many of us Americans are starting to feel the same way.
All you have to do is make a good impression quick. It's true a lot of foreigners extremely dislike Americans, but not all of them. Once you meet a few people, and it's known you're a good person it wont matter.
Oh yea, I've never had any problems being in other countries except once in England, for one thing, I don't look "american" whatever that means.....its not necessarily that people won't like me because of it, but that I am forced to answer questions about Bush and US foreign policy more than I might like to, but its understandable that people are curious about what people who grew up here think about the situation. I like to try to be a good ambassador, and to represent my little part of the US well. It is kind of strange sometimes, while in Spain I saw this graffitti of an american flag with swatztikas for stars and burning buildings in the stripes...strange to feel alienated by your own country, sometimes I wonder if this is how people from the soviet union felt when they travelled the world 20 years ago.
