The kid is doing this as an experiment/fun. I,as a grower, find it interesting to see how this plant was managing to survive/bud in that small ass container. Your negative thoughts weren't really needed. Although you may think it's a waste, quite a few people were curious to see how much bud he ended up with.

As for the thread starter, save a hundred dollars and go build a DWC or NFT bucket. Whichever is cheaper for you, you may even be able to get the buckets for free in certain situations. I assure you that will be infinitely more worthwhile of an experiment than this.

actuily ekul le chet(click for examples) was a really good grower.
check out his gallary too.
i remember he had a bunch of good info in the grow forum. before he left he was one of the "better" growers on the forums.

i really wish he would of saw this through with us... it looks like a fun expariment.

 

a five gallon pot should be the min size for growing. That plant looks like its not getting enough light. You really need a HID for flowering. I wouldnt be surprised if you havrvested a joint.

 

Five Gallon is over the top unless you want to grow a tree. Two and half gallon will do.
He finally harvested 18 pound of buds off that plant.
