Last of the rummage sales until the fall was this morning...I have been going all day.....It was a big sale....10 rooms...all different and specializing in something......pay before you leave each room....for that room...slows things up....One cannot be everywhere at once.... :D.....I stayed out of the electronics room , though...I never buy used electronics......and i never made it into the linen room.....
This time I was 8th in a line...that was waiting outside there for over an hour. When it was time to go in, the line was around the entire church,..... :D...well, almost... Stan held my place, and I rummaged through the free boxes outside before the sale opened. I found these 3 small busts at the bottom of a free box full of toys.....marble Michaelangelo, Napolean with Paris France on the bottom of it(my brother and I visited his tombstone when we were in paris)...that is where that one is from and Thomas jefferson. I think I will give these to my brother for Christmas. He likes this kind of stuff...they are good paper weights and good trinkets on a book case. I could not believe that these were for free...nothing wrong with them.....No one else bothered to look through that box.
Big painted pink wooden doll house with three floors, glass windows....only $5.00 and took the whole back of the back seat of the car to bring home....I need to clean it up.....maybe repaint it it or not...not sure yet, but I think I will give it to one of the the little girls I know eventually with a few shoe boxes of doll house furniture. It is a project for me now, though to fix up and clean first.

I headed to the toy room first this year....Of course, I did....best prices ever for books ....3 for $1.00 and I picked 21 of them....big, hard covered books, classics and wonderful children books I never read yet...plus a little golden book of the Princess and the Pea. I wanted that one and did not have it yet.

Piles of clothes...I love the jeans and the cranberry tank summer dress and yellow skirt and all of it.........a Klimt reproduction called The Kiss and nicely redone with different colored swarovski crystals all over it to catch the light....New toys for all the kids I know, especially my neighbor's 9 year old grandson this time for this Christmas who is into action figures now..... a pretty doll I will give to my neighbor's 7 year old grand daughter, as it looks like her.... maybe for July 4th....Barbie carriage and horse...don't know who will be lucky to get those yet.......a beautiful gold ring spelling love with a green stone...and on and on...Some photos...everything came under $100.00, and my bathroom downstairs is like a crowded store room right now.....I will spend the next few days clearing that out..... 5 big rummage sales this season and I just kept piling things in there..... :D

a glass art bowel signed at the bottom and on and on....I only took photos of some off the things.

Fun, though...You never know what you will find at these sales....things you never think of or know you need until you seem them... :D

Oh, yeah, I want to keep that turtle dinosaur character... :)

Afterwards, we stopped at the grocery store on the way home and I bought raw tuna, avocado, seaweed sushi for lunch and dinner.....I do not eat lunch or dinner. I just eat one meal every day here.............10 pieces like they have with the wasabi and ginger....That was great!

He waits on me, of course..... :D

At the sale he carried out bags and boxes to the car today, after I filled them. I think he made 5-6 with heavy boxes and bags trips. He is no good at these things, but he is the muscle for me there. I don't have to shop like this, but I like to. It is my sport, and I am damn good at it. Ever since I was little and my mom dragged me to these sales....and taught me well, as much as i hated them back then. I can pretty much size up a room pretty quickly and home in on the prize of the room if there are any quicker than anyone, and I move quickly....and I know what I am doing.

Went to rack of coats and jackets...ran my hand across them all and pulled out the 100% cashmere jacket today in less than a minute. It is stunning, too, and in new condition..

2 broken lawnmowers and a broken snowblower...$5 each...all pretty rough they will probably just be dismantled for parts but well worth it for me because i always need parts and just the frigging brake cable on a mower cost $20

farting around here and I need to go outside and wash that pink doll house and see how it shines up pretty soon here. It is pretty darn nice. I was looking at it earlier.....After I wash it and let it dry in the sunshine today, I will make a decision on whether to paint it or not. My niece loves the movie frozen and I had an idea to paint it ice blue and with handpainted white snowflakes all over it....hmmmmm....not sure yet. My neighbor's little girl, who will be 4 years old this September favors blue color, too.....so blue would be a hit with both little girls......but the pink is nice, too. Decisions, decisions......:D

I was looking at these Frozen doll houses last week and I love this....the blues, the snowflakes, etc...but this thing is put it together yourself...not to mention it is over $400.00, and probably cardboard backing....This pink one is sturdy heavy wood and not AS big........and this is 4 feet wide and 5 feet tall...too big for anyone really....but isn't this doll house beautiful? Why I am inspired to paint this pink one like this....
I want a real house like this.....

Oh, you are a persistant one, aren't you? :D
I am a little shy about personal information on a forum that anyone in the world can view without even signing in here or even being a member here....and I have gotten like that more and more over time here. You should have seen how I have evolved from when I first came here....I treated everyone like a close friend talking about everything personal under the sun here....to the point where i even felt uncomfortable after awhile.
No one else was doing it like that.....and I hardly knew anything personal about anyone,. A few ventured to divulge everything , as you do....and I have nothing to hide......but after awhile you realize not everyone has your best interests at heart and not everyone is a close, trusted friend here....unfortunately....so I got shyer and more gun shy as time went on......and I get worse and worse ....so let me think about your question for awhile still...ok?

Anyway, I just finished washing the doll house....It was filthy and looks so much better already without the blue tape on it saying sold....ect....insects were living inside the thing and at one point, I was sponging down the stair case and i am washing the thing like I am conducting a symphony and my hand went up and a poor little spider got flung into my hot soapy pail of water before i even realized I had victimized him...:( I felt so badly......and still do....

Anyway....my thoughts are evolving with this thing.....There are so many nooks and crannies to this house. It was not the easiest thing to wash...but it is drying now in the sun. I need to glue the porch roof back on.......and now, that i am completely familiar with this house....I got it! I am going blue.......with snow theme and moon theme....with stars and moons, too. I am going to make it my own work of art!

This is going to take time.....and I will take photos when it is completed......
i should start a new thread at some point. The creative process is so exciting! :)

    I am re energized.....
