me? you're the one who's always dragging up the past - the constitution, the "founding fathers" and their [assumed] intents i'm merely responding . . . in the present we have 300 million people, no frontier, exploitation and poverty everywhere - and you want to return to laissez-faire economics? don't talk to me about the past . . .
As usual this was interesting but truth be known you are only painting the sides of a sinking ship. The truth is there is no way to save these faulty governments, you can prop them up a little while longer if you wish but it is just a waste of time. Which is one of the reasons that I don't debate the subject much. The only governments that have actually worked are wise benevolent dictatorships or monarchies but the big problem with them is finding someone to take the ruler's place, someone who is wise and benevolent, when they die.
