What Psychedelics are to me.

Naw. I enjoy your posts TM. I appreciate perspectives from people that recognize the magic and miracle and aren't just out to "trip balls man". (not raggin, fun is good too)

I think one of those powerful aspects of psychedelic journeys is the freedom of thought or breaking out of constructs to see that some things that are said by people like those as destructive to our country and world.

To me, the religious question is a matter of names and titles.
I have brushed against God on LSD: but that does not mean that I (formerly an atheist) changed my worldview to accommodate an omnipotent creator who is also an all-powerful big-boss-in-the-sky. Instead, I saw that the universe is in fact united by certain forces (I already knew this from physics but I have experienced it more subjectively on acid), and I grouped those forces together under the label of "God." In other words, no new information was imparted, but a reorganization and re-labelling did take place. This does not make me a superstitious moron.

BTW, that realization has made my life richer and (I believe) made me a better person, so...I think it was a net-positive learning experience, not a delusional one.

 

Yea, if only everyone saw what psychedelics do...
