A few years ago linguists finally established that the English language has not one, but two grammars. One vague and one explicit, which allowed all our teachers to insist it only has one grammar, debate Noam Chomsky, and call their students stupid. You could say the explicit grammar makes it easy for people to argue that everything must make sense, while the vague implicit grammar makes it easy to excuse yourself. Academics have such stunted senses of humor they had to be confronted with overwhelming evidence before catching on. The neurologists even discovered that grammar is related to the proximity of syntax in the brain, implying this was the case, and our thoughts emerge from our emotions, which they confirmed this year, but academics would insist on correcting our grammar and debating such issues even if the world were about to fall apart.

One in five Americans insists the sun revolves around the earth and over half debate the definitions of words in the dictionary, never suspecting or caring that it merely contains popular definitions, but they all act as if they are expert linguists and can copyright the language. I waited over 30 years for the idiots to finally prove that, and it will likely take generations before it makes any impact. Three Stooges fucking arguing the definition of stupid was bad enough when academics were not promoting it. Their solution to all their problems, is often to insist their students need to be taught critical thinking, because teaching them to share their words and play nice are anathema.

You are fooling yourself if you think you are too old to learn new tricks.
