I live a completely normal, successful life as a well-paid graduate student in one of the most difficult fields: theoretical mathematics. I take an opioid every day. The same dose for the last eight months. It impacts me less than having a beer after work impacts most people.

Open your mind and eyes and beat down the stereotypes out there. Not all opioid users shoot up. Not all of us are homeless. Most of us take them just like a person would drink coffee. I would think that as a psychedelic user, you would be open minded enough to see these things.

Thanks. I try to break the stereotypes whenever they pop up on this forum (which is more than it should!). Then of course I have to combat the bipolar stereotype too! I am kept busy by people's ignorance.

For sure I'm just curious...just trying to fill in the gaps to better understand it...being successful is easy...Hell I was doing heroic doses of booze every weekend for 4 years and still graduated and got into gradschool...I have an open mind this is why I am inquiring instead of making inferences based on hat little I am familiar with...I have a tough time believing that it is not chemically addicting...anyone have a few peer reviewed studies?

its either that or live in pain everyday, people who arent in chronic pain dont understand, like with my foot, ever step i take, to the bathroom to walk the daog, to check the mail, driving to fooball practive and home, cutting the grass....EVERY time my ankle/foot moves there is pain, eventually u will do whatever it takes to dull the pain even if its just for an hour or two......its the inevitable...........

    Why do y'all do opiods?

This would better benifit all of us here if we move it to its own thread and not hijack this one.

That homebrew person who keeps insinuating that those of us who take opioids daily are scum of the earth. Not you, p0ly.

a while ago i just did a little H with breakfast and my meds. fuckin seeing double and nodding out. Downers can be hard to do in the morning. Anyway i think i have got just enough to get through the rest of the day, then i got 2 subs to help ease off. after that i think im gonna take another little break from oppies. its amazing what a month off of them will do for your tolerance. im thinking i might give RCs another try. either that or ill just drink for awhile, oh well we will see. wish me luck

i see, who cares what they think? they are judging people on what they put in their body because they want to or have had a problem, really they should be giving support to help people stop using if they think it's such a big deal not being an ass judging others thinking they are scum.

people like that have clearly got issues of themselves so take it out on other people where they've been brainwashed into thinking it's bad because someone told them. Idiotic sheep who need to open their mind and not be a loser.

Thanks for the input, p0ly. Very important words to speak every once and awhile.

Back to "What Opes are You on", I am currently enjoying a quiet but busy afternoon at my parents' house on a perfect mix of 2.5mg Suboxone and 45mg of Vyvanse. Both doses are pretty small, but that's how I prefer to do things 90% of the time. That is probably how I manage to keep any tolerance at bay. I am listening to some great jazz that my fellow bandmate (recall, I am in a jazz band from Lancaster, PA called 'The Lancaster Jazz Project') put on a data-disk. It goes great with this combination. Interestingly, I read that the artist I am listening to now (Arthur Pepper) was a heroin addict haha. Figures...

just throwing it out there...I don't think you are the scum of the earth...I was trying to change my current opinion by asking questions...I'm sorry you inferred differently...but now it has turned into an irritable wine snob vibe...

Feel free to ask questions. Most of us are very friendly. But when we are hammered by the irritating stereotype of being a loser 'dope head' by everyone, your tone could easily be interpreted as being of that type of person.

I never actually read any of your posts so i wasn't directing anything at you but it was a general statement towards that sort of attitude some people have on forums sometimes.

Currently on more brown, not sure how many days i've been on it for but not much and i don't smoke an awful lot but a fair bit throughout the day. I've never used opiates this often before and was wondering if i'd get any kind of withdrawals? i'm going on holiday in under 30 hours and will be clean for 3 weeks for sure.
