I have spent the last 13 years with a man I have nothing in common with.
We have different tastes in pretty much everything, but we get along like a house on fire. If I can make him laugh, I feel awesome...

Too many people think they need sparks or fireworks or something. That is fantasy, it doesn't happen and then they get all disappointed and leave.
Go figure.

A crazy sense of humor helps me click with a person. Hell my best friend threatened to push me in the mud and knock my teeth out when I first started talking to him. haha I like the crazies. But mostly it's personality.

 

Exactly. Most of my friends are wild and obnoxious because well, normal people are rather shallow and pedantic. i likes the crazies as well.

I like what the other poster said: relationships have their periods of calm appreciation, it all doesn't have to be Wagnerian, Hollywoodian emotional outbursts.

The differences combined with our similarities are making for the best relationship I have ever had by far. And i did not find this until age 34.

Anyways, that leads me to the second question: Guys, do you prefer a dirty girl that you can turn out and make sweet. Or do you like a sweet girl you turn out and make dirty?

I like neither! I like both!

 

I prefer the sweet girl with some dirtiness to dig out myself. As long as they have a bit of both, I suppose it doens't matter so much. But, I find I need a pretty soft girl to keep my attraction (in most cases.)

Yeah. Generally speaking insensitive girls suck more. "Suck" meaning bad.

But girls that are too reticent about sex and affection are more of a pain in the ass.
