The Exumas lie in the heart of the 259,000-sq-km Bahamas archipelago. Here the warm breezes of the trade winds, the world's clearest waters and 365 different coral island cays give a distinctly castaway feel. You could land a five-acre Brazilian island for as little as 20,000, San Telmo and Recoleta are hip and ex-pat-friendly.www.buenosaireshousing.com.ar www.WorldProperties.com Panama City is a first-world city too.

WOW. Just WOW. I happen to live in Uruguay, in Montevideo and i just can't believe you said that. Developed? Advanced? That's just funny. Lol. I know it's my country, and i love it, i think it's less "sick" than the US (no offence) but look, Uruguay is a third world country, we have 0 resources. We are a very social and nice community, but Uruguay is turning into a very hostile place to live, i'm telling you, the capital (Montevideo) is turning quite "ugly". But anyway, it isn't as violent and dangerous as in the States, so i guess i kinda fell safer here.

Western Europe. I have lived in Western Europe and North America, and I prefer the over all culture in Europe to here. However, there are some very cool people here (in America) if you can find them :)

Finland. That's where I'd want my children to grow up. Well, if I ever have children.

Well, interesting to hear from someone from Uruguay. It's nice to know that it isn't as 'sick' as the US, and that it's a very social and nice community-there's a lot to be said for that, and that it's not as violent and dangerous, either. I'd be curious to know what's going on in Uruguay to make the situation deteriorate-hostile in what ways? Feel free to pm me about it if you like, also.

Haha yesh, yay for Scandinavian countries. I grew up in Finland and didn't like it very much but after having lived abroad for about three years it has made me realize that Finland is a wonderful place to live. So much beautiful nature, good government, it's very safe compared to a lot of other countries AND free health care, good social security and all that jazz.

i would like spain or portugal ... or one of those islands of their coast there ... something remote where a little bit of money can pay off whomever you need to in order to have the freedom you want ... i'm a simple girl, so that wouldn't be to hard, i would think.

maybe argentina ... again, remote and simple ... not buenos aires!

i just want a place where when you smile at people, they smile back ... and that's not america anymore.

Mine would be the UK but only if we manage to kick out the immoral and corrupt capitalists and transform the society toward a better and more caring society
Other than that I will stay in the UK and continue my personal tirade of anarchic abuse levelled at the state till they see fit to close down freedom of speech as well as all the other freedoms our police state has taken and then I will travel to any country that will let me set up a propoganda radio station that is aimed at the UK and its populace calling for them to overthrow the police state in Britain

There are a few places that seem really cool, but I haven't been to any of them so I don't know for sure.
Mexico, Belize, Costa Rice, all look nice.
Australia and New Zealand Seem cool.
Sweden, Norway, and Finland look awesome too.
U.k. or Germany look alright but it seems like there are too many people in too small of a space in those countries.

my preference isn't for a regeon but a kind of countryside. forrested mountains or foothills specificly.

now if there were such a place that also had more trains then cars, didn't have western organized monotheism as its dominant beleif in any form, but still had english as its primary language (i'm NOT prejudiced, just rotten as hell at trying to learn languages, or even remember names), that would be just perfect. that and if they'd even actualy let me live there, which i don't know, if they did, i'd probably want to close the door after me to anyone from america, unless they were also hippies fleeing the privitisation of everything and the trying to make everything have to begin and end with little green pieces of paper like the damd right wing loonies here seem to insist upon.

All I have to say is I would HATE to live in any freedom loving and freedom spreading nation. I have a SUPER good reason for it as well and its been proven by time and theory so I wont even contest an argument against it::Freedom requires regulation therefore defeating the original purpose of freedom aka "Freedom and liberty leads to tyranny"

I would therefore prefer to live in Plato's Republic.
