I'm mix of Arab, Armenian and Circassian from my father's side and mix of Arab, Persian and Punjabi from my mother's side. So I guess I'm 40% Arab, 20% Armenian, 20% Punjabi, 10% Circassian and 10% Persian... My own kids will be even weirder mix...
despite the mainstream idea (that almost everybody living on the face of turkey is pure turkish) forced into our brains at schools, anatolia has a 'very' diverse heritage. I have some turkish, crimean tatar, probably a bit hellen, armenian or kurdish or arabian maybe even some very distant hittite and celtic heritage!
not all americans have mongoloid indian ancestry. i myself am germanic, celtic and a have a bit of cherokee dna.
yes, it appears that the celts were very well traveled people. they';ve found celtic mummies in royal chinese tombs. if they made it to china, which they in fact did. it's not an impossibility that they'd have ventured through what is now known as modern day turkey. but yes, there's this idea going around that turkish automaticly implies being arab. even though the ottoman turks were hardly arabic. quote=eshu;5381575]despite the mainstream idea (that almost everybody living on the face of turkey is pure turkish) forced into our brains at schools, anatolia has a 'very' diverse heritage.
