    Seattle...
Because everyday is a great day to spend in a coffee shop, writing, and watching the rain through a window calmly falling.

Apparently there's a small Orthodox Jewish community that wants to grow.

Charleston SC will probably always be my favorite city. I love the old architecture, the timeless class of south of broad and how you can go up the peninsula a little ways and it turns into a college party town, i love the natural beauty of the lowcountry marshland, I love that there are remnants of Gullah culture to be found, I love the laid back beach bum feel of Folly Beach. I've been going there at least least twice a year since I was a kid and i discover something new about it everytime.

I fell in love with New York but I've only been once. I haven't seen another city that has more of a city feel than NYC. It has a certain almost visceral pulse two it. Plus I hate driving so I'm a big fan of any city where most residents don't drive.

What i don't like about NY, or Manhattan in particular, is the money it takes to live there. The citiest city in the world should be able to house people of different income levels in the same general vicinity.

Most of my favorite places aren't cities at all! There are a few places I have visited that, in an instant, I could understand what life was like there and it made me nostalgic. If you feel nostalgia for a place that you know nothing about then you know that is a good place for you!

My favorite is Manitou Springs, CO--all of the open spaces and hippie vibes of Boulder, but without the pretense. The springs for which the town were named were treated as sacred by the native Americans who once inhabited the area. The magic is still in the land, it has such a relaxed and easy beauty.

Medford, OR, or any of the towns dotted among the Redwood forests are amazing, too! Southern Oregon is a gem. A bit isolated, but I hope it stays that way.

I really find something to like about any place I visit. Even many depressed and impoverished towns have some secret loveliness, waiting to be found.

If I were going to relocate to a city in my country it would be Kingston, Ontario. I love it there as there is a quaintness that is historical and yet a diversity.

Renfrew, Scotland. Beautiful area and yet tranquil.

I generally don't like cities, but I would say Toronto. I doubt I will be going back there anytime soon, however, since I now have a misdemeanor which prevents me from legally crossing the border.

Yeah, I've been all over the city... numerous times. I used to go multiple times per year.

Dallas. Texas. To be honest, I haven't been a lot of places, definitely not a lot of cities, but Dallas has always been my favorite. My favorite place is rural Oklahoma, but that isn't a city, quite the opposite.

There are a few big cities like San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Boston, that have just the right mixture of old and new, arts and culture that have you wanting more and wanting to stay; but most places that leave the greatest impression are small towns, villages, and hamlets like Castine, ME, Warren RI, Goshen, Conn. Just to name a few. :2thumbsup:

i've never really been to a major city that i didn't like, unless you consider toledo a major city. it's hard to really pick a favorite though. i guess i would be forced to go with cleveland, only because it's the only major city that i have enough experience with to have an educated opinion.

I am not fond of large cities. My favorite place would be Ithaca New York. I lived there for 20 years before I moved here. Sometimes I wish I was still there.

Florence Italy. I love the renaissance buildings and the whole atmosphere of the place.
