What is the reason for any drug to be "illegal"?

If ya had a hornets nest hangin' right by your front door and every time you walked by it you got stung badly, would ya just keep on ignoring it and leave it there, and just deal with the bee stings every day? After all, there are still doctors in place to take care of it...

 

Who has the authority to determine whether or not those bees SHOULD be stinging you? If a bee wants to sting you, then who can say that your pain is more important than that bee's desire to sting?

The point is that currently drugs are entirely unregulated, except for being prohibited. Legalising drugs would allow regulation.

Hashish here in the UK is notorious for the ingredients that get added to it, sometimes even dogshit is present.

Decriminalise all the drugs, providing a safety net for addicts who can get, for example, clean needles and purer, safer drugs. Take the money for drugs out of the pockets of criminals and put it to better use. Allow people to buy their drugs at the pharmacist, where they are clearly labelled with the ingredients, effects and strength of the drug clearly labelled.

 

What makes a human's desire more significant than a bee's? What makes us more important than bees? That is the most biased, one-perspectived thing I have ever heard. You have no idea what it is like to be a bee. How can you possibly place value on a bee's desire? What if the existence of this entire planet depended on the existence of a bee's desire? When we know nothing, we shouldn't claim to know everything.

 

Then one can hope that all the unpleasant stinging bees would move to your front door so that you may appreciate them more fully.

There is a huge difference between drugs that raise your conciousness, and drugs that lower it. And a huge difference between drugs that can do serious harm and those that won't. And the biggest difference is between the people who don't know the difference and the ones who do.

How many friends of yours have overdosed on pills or morphine patches lately? How many have died from cirrosis of the liver or gone completely crazy and ended up in a mental hospital from shooting crank? When is the last time you sat with someone while they were going thru withdrawls from heroin? When is the last time you were robbed, your home broken into by idiots wanting money to buy their addiction of choice? When is the last time that a family member tore up your house because someone slipped PCP into their drink? When is the last time you could feel the breath of the law down YOUR neck because you are a landlord and one of your tennants/neighbors is cooking meth a this rental unit?

Did you know that when people cook meth it creates SERIOUS pollution? They dump their chemicals down the drain, on the ground, into the water table. The fumes absorb into the walls, the furiture, the rugs, the soil. If a meth lab is busted by the cops, it has to go on your deed that the building has had a toxic substance in it, decreasing your property value PERMANENTLY. Sometimes those buildings are condemned and must be torn down...I have a cabin that can no longer be used for a rental because of the toxic waste. Therefore my livelyhood is effected.

Did you know that there have been so many thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals dumped into the rivers in South America from the manufacture of coke, that the fish and other life in and near the rivers are dying?

No, You can HAVE all those bees, as many as you like, 'cause I'm not gonna support all this... But I'm just biased and know nothing... So ya better get a good bee smoker and veil so ya MIGHT not get stung too many times, 'cause you're gonna need it...

 

If you can function on marijuana, you must be smoking crap. Not being able to function is half the fun of smoking.

 

Humans desire is worth absolutely nothing. This world would get along far better without us.

The existance of this planet as we know it DOES depend on bees, Without them pollination would have alot harder time taking place.

I say legalize all the drugs. Period.
