Well to address the OP...

Let's look at the forum title, "Sexual Freedom Spotlight".

What would be defined as sexual freedom to you and since a spotlight is used to draw the attention of many to a single event or individual, what might you suppose be an appropriate focus of discussion? Is free love and sexual freedom the same thing and can someone practice abstinence while being a proponent of sexual freedom? I say they can.

What type of things, political or cultural forces, obstruct sexual freedom? Why after so much time would such an issue still be an issue? If you wish to initiate a discussion within a forum it might be useful to contribute something that is somewhat on topic there! The point is to furnish a discussion forum where these issues can be verbally dissected as opposed to having the forum verbally dessicated.

Thanks for the explanation. Without a sticky thread or FAQ, there was no way to know for sure why this forum was sitting here for so long with no posts in it. That is an interesting and useful topic.

Sometimes just the spark of something useful is needed to get the ball rolling. I allowed the discussion to veer off topic in the (unfounded) hope that in all the rambling a cohesive explanation would arise and folks might perhaps discuss what "sexual freedom" meant to them or some such.

Not really. I generally expect the unexpected. I was halfway joking.

 

There is still something strange about this forum. I tried to start a thread several hours ago, and I got an automated message saying the thread would not be visible until approved by a moderator. I've never seen that message before.

 

Somebody must have changed it to moderated thread posting.....to avoid threads like this one

 

Actually when i started this thread i got that message as well. So just be patient. It will show up.

Its pretty obvious....this section has been set to where new threads need to be approved before being viewable to the public.

Either no one (with Godlike forum powers) has seen your pending thread...or they believe it isn't appropriate for this section.

 

Probably correct. i wish i had godlike forum powers. i wonder who out there has those. Who started hip forums. that person probably has super god forum powers.

skip huh? i wonder why you would want to be a moderator of a forum with only one thread. and the thread is only to ask what the forum is about. doesnt sound like too difficult a job to me.

 

It really must be burdensome to know everything like you seem to.
