A banjo for my husband. He's always wanted to learn to play one and I think that now's the time. Any suggestions as to what name is best? I don't really know much about banjos, being a git-tar woman myself.
Deering Goldtones and Alverez make good ones to start on. Deering Goodtimes are generally lower priced. I love Deering banjos. Wish I could afford a new one but I just got a Bonnie Raitt Strat and I got a car a few weeks ago... damn fuel prices.
I think either Another guitar or a Saxaphone... but i dono.. I'l probly end up buying osme instrument i have no clue how to play.. and learn it.. like a Citar or somthing
tho some do go seriously cheap on ebay at times, but there way too big for me to have and most of the time they are only local pick-up
After I finish paying my double bass I want to purchase a mandolin. Once I've played that for a while I'd absolutely love to buy a fiddle (because its tuned the same way as a mandolin, so it wouldn't seem completely foreign).
I just bought a violin. My friends and I are starting up a bluegrass-type band, and I'm gonna try to pick up fiddlin'
A Sitar, I have been listening to alot of Ravi Shankar, and the Sitar is one of the most beautiful, powerfully moving instruments that has ever exsisted.
