Wormtown has an awsome fest coming labor day weekend. This is a small fest , say 2000-3000 people. Great camping in wooded area. Great music, when stage stops, theres music in some of the cabins till eary morning . Definetly a must see. Worth the travel if you must. The people are vary freindly. You can stop by anyones camp and feel welcome. I'm in south carolina , and I'm thinking of going to labor day weekend. It's a great fest. Can't stress more.

the best big fest is probably bonnaroo for the sheer number of people and acts u can experience. for mid size fests, all good, moedown, hookahville, smilefest(if its still around), shawnee, harvestfest(georgia) have always been favorites of mine. if ya did the smaller festies, nothing can ever beat nelsons ledges grateful fest, or the ledges on any weekend for that matter, or harmony park in minnesota, but thats technically west.

Growing up in the east coast i've definitely been to all the festies and my favorite is wormtown music fests. strangecreek and wormfest are where its at. best place.

upnorth was sick too. too bad they arent doing that this year.

i didnt read all of the post so maybe this is a repeat.. this festival has aready passed, but Mountain Jam its the first weekend in june every year. i went the last 3 years. its getting a little mainstream though and lots of ppl are just there for the drugs and not the music.. its kinda a bummer. i mean i like the drugs too but im there for the music mostly

Camp Barefoot is very nice, small but a great line-up. Plus there is a swimming lake and hot showers on site! I think they allow you to bring your dog(as long as they are on a leash). Check it out on facebook or www.campbarefoot.org.
