Again with the "asking everybody to be able to supply a source for what they say."

I asked you to provide me with several examples of this. Well . . . . . .

What is it about the word "was" that you don't you understand. You're so smart that you should tell everyone when I originally wrote that. I'm kidding about the part about you being smart, in case you weren't smart enough to know that, which I suspect is the case.

Quite the monument to deep thought, aren't you tick. That was sarcasm, by the way. You're actually quite the monument to the truth of the fact that it is easier than people believe it is for a human to morph into a bottom-feeder.

Aren't you glad that I came back to retrieve my post to Meagain? Not really, huh?

    Welcome back.
It is just as easy you might think, to morph into something more akin to the top of the food chain. At least there are no time constraints for either perception, or they are the same in that if it doesn't happen now, it does not happen.

    Well, now I'm back...been busy.
Remember to be civil to one another people.
I recall something I once read about the Pentagon. It seems a few years back they were worried about nuclear war and a breakdown in communications between the, then, super powers. They were concerned that relations could break down during negotiations because the parties involved could not hold face to face meetings. Confusion could result if people could not "read" each others facial expressions during important conversations. They felt video wasn't good enough, they needed a "real" presence of each of the persons involved. So MIT worked up a system whereby they molded glass heads of each of the people involved. Sat them around a table and then projected the face of each person on their respected "head". As they talked the image would appear as if the person was in the room conversing, with realistic facial expression. Supposedly this is where the rock group The Talking Heads got their name.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could do that? Save a lot of confusion here.

    So anyway,
    Storch,
Nice post (in response to old Chung Zsu and the butterfly) One comment I would make is that the people of old are no different then the people of today.
I believe that each individual must evolve through this stage, in the past, now, and in the future. It is how humans are designed. When I say must, I know not everyone does, but they are capable of doing it. The difference today is that a larger portion of the human race has evolved past this point, in their own lifetime, than in the past, and has gained more power than in the past. I got this idea from the writings of Ken Wilbur, BTW.
I agree! When asked questions about the nature of reality the Buddha refused to answer, he knew where the quicksand was.

I think just calling something real brings it into the known and then it becomes unreal or merely a part of human conditioning. Reality is in the womb of silence.

Unfortunately reality can be threatened, and harmed. Thankfully there's absolutely no reason why it should be.

The thought comes, not first, nor after the feeling of its coming. There is no true order to the beginnings and endings of consciousness in sensation, but this does not mean that nothing is real.

    Life is physical.

    ;D

Where is the evidence for this?

    Seems a contradiction.

Reality is often contrasted with what is imaginary, delusional, (only) in the mind, dreams, what is abstract, what is false, or what is fictional. The truth refers to what is real, while falsity refers to what is not.

    In threat and harm.

Yes, the physical only appears finite to our measurement of it.

    Such things have no identity.

The contradiction being between no order and life is physical.

    They have reality.

There is order in the sense of eventuality, of procession, of continuum,
though there is no conclusive distinction between thought and feeling, just as we are unable to conceive their origination in separation. The will, the motive, arises, it has no background, no precondition, outside of life.

Is sexuality the final frontier? Perhaps it is the elusive "first cause" of 'reality'. lol
