We keep seeing groundhogs here in Arkansas. I have spent most of my life in the Ozarks and this is the first year I have seen them. We have lots of armadillos here, too. They used to be unusual, but now they are common.
When we lived in Florida we were forever finding scorpions in the house. They were interesting, but the Christmas spiders were really cool. We had a hickory horned devil in our yard once.[IMG]

Haha, in college, there was a family of about 20 raccoons that would raid the dumpsters outside the dorms and sometime corner unsuspecting students. They were known as the army of darkness

I've been bluff-charged by black bears on multiple occasions. Ran into a wolverine once. Saw the same cougar twice. Plenty of grizzlies, black bears, deer, caribou, moose, elk, foxes, a wolf, some coyotes, porcupines, bald eagles, salmon of many varieties dunno. It's still wild here.

Hawaii centipedes are one of the creepiest things I have seen.. They always send a shiver up my spine ewwehhh.
I was under a tree one night in the wind and one dropped down out of the tree and was crawling on my neck. So it took a deep breath and gently tried to brush it off, BAM bit me right in the neck. After about 10-15 minutes I stated to feel my neck get stiff (I think they have nuro toxin in their poison) so I thought the best thing to do would be lay down and let my body process the poison. I went to sleep that night and woke up and it was fine just a mark and a little swollen. It was good sometimes people react badly and it gets swollen and really messed up.
They are not that dangerous but man they are So Creepy looking!

But the weirdest thing I ever saw was an ant a little bigger then a bic lighter. It was in a town that was by a nuclear power plant. I wish I had a picture that thing was insane. We put it in a margarine dish and it almost didn’t fit. I wanted to take it to a scientist but the guy we left it with said it got away.

I have seen a lot of unusual fish swimming on the west side of Hawaii they migrate on a global current trough there sometimes.

In the rocky mountains I have seen a Wolverine once a Ringtailed Cat (I have a picture of that one I will post it if I get some time to find it) and Pine Martians.

Edit: pic of ringtailed cat added
