That's true. Why cant life just be as it is?

OP, how about this...if, when you die, there is no god, then how would you feel? Cheated? Mislead? Pointless? what....? The idea of God, as I understand, is that you feel there is a point in all this (I'm going by what my crazy catholic mother tells me).. so in a sense you are closing off any other meanings or purposes in life, right?

Even if God is real, then again, what is the purpose? Because I'm failing to see one..

He doesn't love every one equally, He doesn't love disbelievers, He doesn't love men of evil... but everyone got an equal chance (lifetime) till the end, and then comes the day of judgment!

God as I believe has no son, that a need which would make him not perfect (= not god), He sent messenger.

The first Human (Adam) knew him, but people later forgot the teaching of Adam and went astray, and here comes the messengers of God to bring them back to right path.

The way you're looking at it OP, it just seems jagged at best. I say that because it's a cycle of fucking up, justifying it by feeling forgiven, and then your mind is on what you're getting in the end (paradise).

I just came back from a meditation retreat based on the Shambhala tradition. We did what is called a drala walk- "dra" meaning enemy, and "la" loosely translated to the spiritual, the higher consciousness, a metaphorical heaven. Also "above". The idea was to be above the enemy, which is the mind that distorts and twists what we see to fit our inner story. To walk slowly, carefully, looking, getting lost in what is and not what we make up which could be, and what isn't in the present moment.

We also were encouraged to speak only from experience in personal/group conversation- don't go all crazy on ideas and tangents, or spitting terms or phrases we've heard... genuineness means you feel deeply what you say.

OP, I honestly have nothing against the idea of god, because I've been to churches and a lot of the people radiated the same peace that my group leader at this retreat radiated.

I think tradition and faith is perfectly acceptable, and quite valuable, but it must be mindful ritual, experience-based faith in the sense that you know it deeply because you've seen it deeply. Mindless ritual is a waste of time.

You're just saying things like "the One"... you need to understand that it comes off as ignorant. Do you really know what you're saying?

You're perfectly welcome to drop the facade and start speaking in an honest way, and this may become a decent discussion.

Until you start being more careful with your words, you will continue to be attacked.

I've been around here long enough to know that

But, if there is God? there is no going back to fix it!!

God is real, that gives sense to our life, our values, fighting the evil, do the good deeds, helping the needies, defending the weaks, but all of these wouldn't count in the day of judgment of you don't believe in God.
Consider life as a test to do good and fight/avoid evil.. God loves to be worshiped and obeyed (though He is needs it not), and He rewards because is generous and merciful, He punishes who deserves because He is Just.

What is the purpose of your life with no god?!

The meaning of life without God -

Anything you want it to be, you choose, because its your life to live and control, without the fear of an everlasting afterlife in hell. Everyone has different purposes, some have none, some create their own, some were given purpose before entering earth. Just enjoy yourself, what's the point of worrying and what's the point of dedicating your life to a deity that may not even exist? I know he doesn't, can't really explain why I know because its complicated, but I remember making a concious descision to join earth, I saw no God. I remember past lives, which would be impossible if God existed because I should be in heaven/hell instead of coming back to earth. I remember dying and it was peaceful, calm, but again, I saw no God. You won't believe this of course, but there you go. I'm here to learn, to love, to help where I'm needed and stay out of where I'm not, I'm here to grow within myself and gain wisdom. Most of all, I'm here so that my daughter could be here, and to be by her side whilst she learns and grows too.

appreciate your honesty and attack :)

I keep saying the One, because i believe God is only one. The universe follows one system, same logic and physical rules.
The messengers all, in the divine books, called for the same God, the creation of us and the universe never been (as I know), claimed to be owned by another god, no other god sent books and messengers.
if there were two gods, one will try to dominate, if none could dominate they are both then weak, and weak to me = no god.

Purpose, energy, all of that we constantly seek outside of us. Truth is, beauty and meaning does not come from out to in... it comes from a source inside of us, and flows out.

The world is not illuminated by searching or finding... rather, unpacking and revealing.

I'd honestly rather live my life doing good deeds and helping the world, and go to hell for an eternity, than live my life doing good deeds because of a test, passing then going to heaven. If god exists, then I'll stand at the gates and tell him to his face that no good deed I've done was for him, I do good because I want to, not because I'm supposed to do it to obey someone who like being worshipped.. why cant you just do good out of the good of your heart? Why do you have to justify what you do?

Remember, the needy and the weak are just the same as everyone else..

But what if you are different person, whose goes all wrong, go to prison for no crime (set up for example), sentenced to death or lifetime... He wouldn't live what he wants, he is not free, he did not choose to be here, he didn't choose his parents, his look, his color, just trying to be the self he found himself/herself bound to. one doesn't come in and back as he likes, you can't even make your own physical law, you use what is already there, for you, who made workable under you will?!

God is not needy nor weak, otherwise He is no god.
God created you and every thing else, it is His right to be worshiped and obeyed. that is why!

Does this sense of ultimate justice make you feel better?

Is it scary to think that sometimes, things are fucked up and that's that?

    Naturally yes.

There is a necessity for God, life wouldn't have existed ( unless this god is an impossible coincidence that created all the system known to human), afterlife there wouldn't be this ultimate justice if God happen to vanish after creating this beauty and perfection and life system that we know.

sit back and give it a thought (you would either believe in an impossible coincidence or God, or ignore the whole matter until you are awakened by death)

His has the RIGHT to be worshiped by his creation!

Well, I dont want to worship him! And I will go to hell, quite gladly, if he does exist.

The world is made up of energy, we are made up of energy, when we die our energy goes back to the earth and universe, energy can not be destroyed. I chose to come here, for my own purpose and the greater purpose, I made that decision and I remember it clearly just as I remember what happened yesterday.. the one is you, the entire universe, is all one, you are what the entire universe is doing just as a wave is what the entire ocean is doing. Coincidence doesnt exist, everything is automatic, its not destiny, it just is. I've been here many times, I remember them clearly too. Syncronicity is what rules the universe.. that's my purpose. Never once in my life have I questionned the existence of god because I've known all along that for me he does not exist, even when I went to church as a kid with my mother, I never believed, and I've never needed to either.

No good cause I do will ever be justified by a God, I'll continue to do good for others because they deserve it, not because I deserve an everlasting paradise.

But does this energy thinks, it consciously made us who are, the dominant species on earth, and our planet the only one with life as far as known?!

I like to describe it as a coded energy programmed to happen the way it did, it is not blind and it did not exist by choice. You can't decide to walk out of life and come back to it, believe me, if you die you are not coming back to this life in any other form, you will be kept for the day of judgment and there is no way to escape from God except to Him, go find peace and freedom in Him.

I'm not talking about god son, spirit and all the confuse in that... just free your mind of every confusing beliefs, contemplate, wonder and ponder... the universe is your book, you will find many signs for God.
After you reach the truth that way... think again.. this God, so mighty and capable, wouldn't have left us ignorant of Him, astray, away from the right path, what did He do for that not to happen, that's the next point!

I don't get why people need to make things up when we have so much available to us to explore that is

Yeah, no point replying seeing as you aren't actually listening.

I dont want to find peace in God, I already have peace in myself, and within the world and universe. God would make things way too complicated and pointless for me...

Meaningful things and reality... containing all the beauty and whatever gives them sense, making them so great and appreciated... isn't that a sign of an all wise, knowing beautiful Creator (God)?!

Who gave you that self, and made all the things that cause peace into it?!
what makes it work that way between your self and these things..
and then you deny Him the right to be worshiped?

    what is so complicated?

He created you and everything you have... It is His right then to be worshiped. to surrender willingly to His will. He is Greater and He has more to offer. He controls everything!
