What has happened to mankind?

Please demonstrate how the living condition of the human race entirely is at an "all-time low".

 

I like that at 16 yrs old, you even ask the question* * "WTF Happened"?

The answer's are way too involved to put into a paragraph in a post. At 60- soon to be 61 , Ive seen a lot of moves go wrong "in the name of progress".
We saw it coming, we tried to make changes to slow it down. We organized, we fought our battles with the government, we fought a plethora of laws we saw as un-just -some we won, some we changed- -some we had to leave for our children to continue, as life just got in the way.
A lot of what is wrong now is what was always wrong- -Greed. The need for power over others. People have thier priorities all mixed up.
You ask the right questions>>:argue:
Why have the oceans become toxic sewers?
Why is everything from the air we breathe to the water we drink polluted?
Why is real food being replaced with roundup ready GMO garbage that rats won’t even eat?
Health care by definition means taking care of your health. So, why does allopathic medicine promote the infusion of toxic chemical poisons called medications? And when faced with a serious, life threatening disease, why is the first step to destroy the immune system with radiation and drugs? For that matter, why is the curriculum at major medical schools controlled by the giant pharmaceutical companies? Right again, it’s greed.

Like I mentioned , us older folks fought many battles- ending a war, ending segregation, fighting for the environment, gay rights, womens rights, etc..etc.. - geez it seems like all we accomplished 30-40 yrs ago just came back and is repeating itself.Sorry I cant be more direct to your question- but I can ask you to >

100 Africans die of starvation alone a minute. Do the math. Google the living conditions in Africa if need be. You live in the states right? I shouldn't even need to get started on mexico, central and south americas living conditions. Why does a 16 year old need to tell you whats going on in the world. Hop your ass on google search and turn the news on while your at it.

 

Give my generation a few years to grow up. The evirement for change around us at the moment is just right and i sense ah storm brewin. :2thumbsup:

 

Progress is defined differently by different people. You'll never be able to make other people's definition fit your own, anymore than they can make your definition fit their definition. This is why you have to give up on waiting for other people to join in on whatever you wish to accomplish (i'm a little unclear of what exactly you wish to accomplish). The only thing you can do is lead by example. Some will follow, some won't. Such is life.

Everybody has different priorities.

You could join the Peace Corps after school and go to Africa, live off the land, escape modern society, and use your compassion to help others. Kill several birds with one stone.

Do you think 100 people a minute weren't dying from more causes than just starvation 90 years ago?
If I hop on google and take a look at the news, the first thing that comes to my eye are protests in the Middle East and dictators being overthrown in the name of the denouncement of censorship and cruel despotism. Looks like more progress to me.
Perhaps things are not exactly as you would like it, but you are still only a little fool if you think things ever will be.

 

Just so you know the living conditions in Egypt have plummeted since Mubarak got the boot. Yes there free, but nothing in Egypt is even centralized now..It’s anarchy and chaos.

 

Yes, the expected state of a nation during a transition of government.

You strike me as the absolute worst kind of idealist; the ones who are ready to criticize everything but have no alternative or realistic plans.

 

I'm getting that feeling too. You haven't offered one solution, except for some vague plan to change society by changing the minds of men. You're offering nothing concrete.

Let me pose this question: You think society is corrupt. You wish to change it. You wish for "positive progression for your species."

How do you plan to achieve this?

Positive- To create, to input and to create an absents of negativity.
Progress-moving forward.

This IS what human beings desire from birth onward. To create, to input and to be POSITIVE! It is universal..

You can't plan what can and should be aplied to everything..
