lol its very true though.Regard less of what anyone thinks I advocate psychedelics faniticaly. They open door and once they are open they cant be closed.
it's called TV people are sucked into stuff like video games and TV. I'm not saying that they are like the "devil" people just waste alot of their brain power and energy and most importantly time doing things like this. People have forgetten about books, and good ol' hacky sack, and frisbee. Not all people of course but most people now days. Or maybe sweetie your looking in the wrong place -with love
This may be true, and while i agree that there are some laws that are needed . . . like not killing people . . . if there were more peaceful people like us and less consumer driven people like you, even that law wouldn't be needed, bc we're driven by peace. And while i'm on the topic of leagalizing certain things, if you havn't noticed alcohol is legalized in many countries and bc it is now so common there (places like Germany), there are far less "laws" broken and people dieing due to alcohol than there are in the US. And if you think about it, alcohol tends to make the majority of people violent from time to time as to where a bowl here or there could turn a room full of enemies into best buds . . . so i think it would benefit the US really. Maybe that's what you need Strawberry_Fields_Fo, just a few hits.
Me? Consumer-driven? What on this thread have I said that ever gave you that idea? I happen to be a broke-ass college student--I couldn't be materialistic if I wanted to. I hate shopping, and only go when it's necessary. Just because I can see the reality of the world doesn't make me "consumer driven". And who says I'm violent either? I've never been in a fight and never wanted to be in one. But thanks anyway--it's always nice to be prematurely judged. And are you honestly naive enough to think that the factors behind what makes people murder are that simple? What are you talking about? Alcohol IS LEGAL in the US (if you haven't noticed)...so what's your point? First of all, alcohol does not make the "majority" of people violent. In some people it does, yes, but for the majority of people it makes them loud, obnoxious, horny idiots who need to keep their asses off the road. Marijuana on the other hand, makes the majority of people unproductive. You say it would benefit the US solely because it makes people less violent. Well, I can tell you this: I would rather live in a society where violence is an issue in some areas than live in a society with APATHETIC MORONS. I am not suggesting that one hit of pot will destroy your soul, but I have NEVER met a pothead ("pothead" in this case meaning one who smokes on a regular basis and over-romanticizes the plant) who both A) Cared about an issue (such as human rights, world hunger, etc.) AND B) Was in the right state of mind to do anything about it. You want to live in a society of potheads? Then (forgive the stereotype) move to Jamaica. When was the last time something magnificent came out of Jamaica? (And don't say Bob Marely, he did not change the world). You see, there are people on this earth who are suffering--and I don't mean suffering because they can't smoke their weed. I mean they're orphaned by AIDS, are watching their children starve to death, are wondering if their husbands will ever come back from the war...And regardless of why all these atrocities started, do you know why all they are allowed to continue? Because of only one thing: APATHY. And marijuana does not make people care; it makes them happily numb. But life is not about numbing yourself to reality: it's about FEELING real emotions, be them good or bad. Feeling is what changes the world for the better; apathy is what allows negativity to spread. I could care less about whether or not pot is legalized; there are more pressing issues on the global and national frontline. So in response to your suggestion: no, I have no desire to have a few hits. I am not violent, and while I appear angry sometimes (I don't truly get mad over an internet forum), I would rather feel anger than feel nothing at all. -Kate
actually,if you knew anything about drugs, you would know peoples reactions are entirely personal and that everyones is different. i for one, am anything but unproductive and numb if i get a few hits in me to start the day off. and i like a lot of what you had to say freedom fighter, love
I was talking about the age limit that many countries don't have. If you tell any teenager not to do something enough times - there is a 98% chance that they indeed WILL do it. I know your thinking im being a hypocrit right now bc i am a teenager, but i admit to doing stupid stuff because im told not to - its part of being a teen and growing up. The point i was trying to make on this subject was that if pot was legalized, it wouldnt be any big deal. Right now people hear "pot" and many of them think "oh no thats bad!" bc that is what we're told to think - by people like you. But if you were in Germany and under the age of 21, drinking alcohol at the dinner table would be like drinking milk over here. I was comparing alcohol to pot - sorry you didn't catch the drift. I really don't think you have a clue what you're talking about. This has nothing to do with what i was saying . . . you're bringing up completely unrelated issues. And do not attack me and say that i don't care about these things . . . because again, you have NO CLUE what you're talking about and i know that for a fact bc you don't even know me. Honestly Kate, it seems to me that you take yourself WAAAAAAY too seriously. And i've changed my mind - what you really need is a good humbling, and to stop attacking the people of this site. If you don't like what we have to say - go somewhere else. Much love for the comps Fractual - Muah, Sarah
Wait....what is it that you're doing about this, again? Why is the first issue brought up by you 'young hippies' always the rain forest? Not everyone says they care. And, you sitting in front of your computer screen is so much better than the couch-potatos that watch t.v, huh? Bush is a terrible president, yes. But, I'd rather see him in office than Kerry. Yes, someone has to do it, and it obviously won't be you.
This is a stupid thread. haha, everytime i say this i get a bad rep point thing. oh well, now i know that they don't actually matter I don't care bring it on
