    Nobody uses UK Parties and Protests or Member Photos, they can quite easily go and won't be missed. The main UK forum and Randomness were always popular, even during the times it was just ticking over. The UK forum is (was) for serious subjects such as UK politics or global issues from a UK perspective, and Randomness for everything else, for community building and fun nonsense.

    The one thing us Brits do well and differently from everyone else is comedy and humour, and Random Thoughts is far too US-centric for most of us. It's very unwelcoming for people who don't have a very specific and very American attitude, so I think most of us wouldn't dare to venture there. We have always been one of the most friendly and thriving communities on hipforums, at least in part because of our ability to do those two things, to bring a UK perspective on serious issues and to express our unique cultural outlook in a humourous way. That cultural diversity is worth maintaining in my view.

    Exactly. And remember you're not a member of the UK forum, you're a member of the Hip Forums, all the forums are yours to play in.

    You do still have a UK Social Group too, where you can spout randomness.

    In fact, why not do what they do in the Stoner's Lounge, which is have a random thread, where they all chat and keep up with each others activities. When the thread gets too long they start a new one.

    UKP&P has had its time and it rocked many moons ago when the interweb was in the olden times with the four non blondes and reef.

    But alas that time has passed...

    Its work is done.
