Madden 16 be frustrating me at the moment. It has loading problems. You have to delete all your saved data then sync it from the net. This take about 10 mins and it may or may not work. If it doesn't work you need to delete it again and try the sync. It's whack honestly and I've only manage to play one game thus far.

EA petty much gave up on improving the madden series a long time ago. every year they just update the rosters and remove a feature so they can say it's a new game. the last really good madden game i've played was 04; i have 08 but franchise mode was already broken beyond repair by that point, franchise being the only mode that was ever worth playing to begin with.

I know I know and every year I say I won't and every year I go and buy it. :D but that roster update sure is exciting. :D

Majora's Mask on the 3ds. I'm not too fond of it but it's still a good remake. I still prefer the N64 version though. I really love this game and the remake feels a bit weird to me.

I heard there's a Gamecube remake as well. Not sure how it stacks up. Heard there are a few bugs with menus and glitches elsewhere.

I can't wait to get my Gamecube up and running lol.

same with the NHL series. What happened is they started to write the games for consoles and PC together and fucked them up for both.
thee last decent NHL game was '99 and it was dumbed down so that ANYONE could rack up ridiculous goals, even the Japaneses team! We would tweak the game parameters to make it harder so it would at least provide a challenge, but after scoring the 18th goal you tend to just throw the controller in disgust.
we haven't played it in years now because they suck so much and who the fuck has 14 fingers and 7 thumbs to use these fucking controllers anyway?!
don't even get me started on the finger twisting bullshit that are the controls for the FIFA games!!!

guess I'm just getting too old...:(

While I wait patiently for Fallout 4 [IMG] I have decided to go back a play a game I thoroughly enjoyed a few years ago, Dead Space. Playing it on the hardest difficulty. I just passed Chapter 8, but I now find myself with almost no ammo, and very little money to purchase any. I am not sure how much further I can progress.

I've gotten really into a Quiz Chat Room. I don't think I can mention the name though. A person could search for one though. It's been really fun. :)

That's how I got stuck in Bioshock 2!

I'm now done with this game (unfinished) but it is one of those games that stands out to me anyway. Such a fascinating setting, I love that shit. It's such a strange and remarkable dystopia, but even when it seriously weirds you out it still can be taken seriously because the game draws me in so well.

It's mainly a matter of getting used to it, and what someone prefers. I don't wanna play a game without a controller anymore. Although I can't say if those sports games are really working with a controller myself as the last FIFA game I played was still on a pc with mouse and keyboard. I think that was around 2004 :p

I spoke too soon, I struggled, but I made it through the game today. The final chapter was brutal, yet the final boss extremely easy. Don`t play this game on insane difficulty lol.

I love the Bioshock games, all 3 were just tremendous!

I've tried to play ice hockey and soccer games over the years but I also like to play full length games to obtain realistic stats etc. not too sure why this is so important to me but I just like realism. But the soccer and hockey games make it that easy to score you rack up 10-15 goals by games end. Granted I haven't played one in several years but they were like this when I did try and play them.

I won my first game in madden 16 19-16 in OT against the Texans in weed 2 pre season.

Manning led the charge in the first Q with 10 points but then my secondary team really stank up the place. I had the sliders down for run blocking and both teams we only managed to average 2 yards a carry so I've made it easier for week 3.

Nice that you finished it in the end! Always feels better to properly end a game :p

Yeah I love Bioshock 3 as well, the beginning is just fantastic imo (how you reach the city of Columbia via the lighthouse until the raffle (Ireeene goodnight)) :D One of my fav beginnings of a game. Sucks you right in!
I didn't play the first one!

Oh the opening to Infinite was amazing. It`s an incredibly designed segment of mystery and fascination, with an elegant tone and theme. I love how the primitive tech of ringing three bells results in this roaring alien like noise and lights in the sky. Then of course Bookers ascension into Columbia, fright an panic as he`s launched 15 thousand feet into the air.....Then you are no longer being launched through the air, you are soaring, and the amazement of the floating city comes into focus.

You need to discontinue whatever you are doing at this moment, your new priority in life is to play the first Bioshock. Seriously get you shit together.....lol

I just gouldn't get into Bioshock. Of course, I only played a bit of the beginning portion in Infinite. I am emphatic about games with dark abstract storylines, but the player movement in Bioshock seems overused in a lot of games I guess? If there were more of an RPG aspect to it maybe I'd be more attuned to it. Or maybe I just need to start by playing the 1st or 2nd game in the series. I tried to play it after playing Skyrim and Dishonored for a while, so that could have something to do with it too.

I'm becoming the same way with controllers. I used to be a die-hard gamer on PC. Most of the games didn't use a controller or mainly used the mouse. Now, after playing PS3 for so long, I'm more inclined to play games with controller support or none at all lol. Mainly older console games as well.

Lol Terrapin I am even a whiner on the specific controllers as I am used to the xbox controller which clearly is more handy than the playstation one. And I in the near future will have to settle for the playstation one... :p (yes i have decided :-D)

I think I know what you mean about the player movement in Bioshock. Between the short times where you can look around a bit in peace it is all intense shooter action, which in general I got a bit tired of too. I also played Skyrim and Dishonored (glad I played those!) before which gives you much more variety where it comes to the action. But the setting and how it is brought to life, and the story all made it very worthwile for me :)
I started with Bioshock Infinite, then could borrow the second one and because it was recommended I stopped playing Infinite and started with 2 first. From my experience it is very bearable to skip the first one, and worthwile to play the second one before Infinite. But... I don't know what I am missing exactly about the first one of course!

I thought since it was set in the same world as 2 (except some time earlier I think? or if i'm right you don't play as a 'big daddy') I would skip it and get the general idea of the setting just from the second in the series. Also, I could borrow the second one and have to buy the first one if I wanna play it :p :D It sounds like the first one is very worthy too. I just don't have time for all the good 360 games.... :( :p As I am now slowly moving on to the next gen for which I also have a nice wishlist already.

I've gone through many love/hate relationships w controller styles lol. I eventually settled with 3rd party controllers. I loved the layout of the Xbox 360 controllers, but also love the shape of Playstation's controllers. The D-pad is so much more easily accessible with Xbox's layout. Being able to move your thumb inward instead of stretching it to a further reach on the controller. I eventually settled with Afterglow (might have changed to Aftershock now? Or maybe that was it's previous name?) controllers. The responsiveness isn't bad at all for a 3rd party manufacturer. MUCH BETTER than the old MadCatz controllers LOL.

If you do a lot of precision pointing, it takes a bit of getting used to. Did a lot of that playing Terraria and it was hard to wrap my mind around the difference in style between original PS3 DualShock and the Afterglow controllers. Afterglow has come a long way since they started too, so responsiveness now might be on point with DualShock. Of course, you don't get the motion sensors and vibration can be a bit higher, but it works fine for most games. And you can use them as PC controllers without 3rd party apps to enable/recognize the controller.

I only use my controller for the console. My PC is not for heavy games (and I don't play other kind of computer games). I'm pretty sure I would still prefer the new xbox controller over the dualshock 4 but it just happen to be so that I will go for the PS4 (I don't wanna have several consoles) and thus have to get used to that one. But I already experienced that the dualshock 4 is a lot better than the dualshock 3. Not really fond of the light bar, certain sounds coming out of it (phone calls in gta5 for instance) and not really convinced of the use of that new large button in the middle though. Improvements ok, innovations... not so much (on the controllers! ;)).

So I took notice of a buy 3 games pay only 2 deal here and thought I emerge myself in what next gen has (and gonna have) to offer in regards to games. Although not available atm I noticed Dark souls 2 is getting a rerelease. Might just suit me (and maybe you as well?) :)
Besides this rereleased Dark souls game (which is mainly cool for people who have not played it yet, and it has all the expansions included) there is apparently also a new one in the make. If it is in the same vein/setting it will probably appeal more to me than Bloodborne (which is already out and developed by the same company, and seem to be similar in terms of dificulty and tension/horror, only in a slightly different setting, which looks like another take on a fictional victorian London). But I got to admit Bloodborne appeals to me as well, more than other similar games.
As someone who has skipped most playstation exclusive games I probably also will go with the Nathan Drake collection (all 3 ps3 games bundled on a ps4 release).

Someone gifted me a copy of Rogue Legacy the other day. I'm having fun with it so far. :)

Pretty nice roguelike, similar to Spelunky. Attack, die, repeat with better stats. Find epic loot and bigger monsters along the way.
