So I got this game, Stellaris, for the PS4. It came out a little while ago but it struggled a bit because they didn’t release the most updated version on console that already existed on PC and evidently was missing many improvements.

Having said that, the current version I find to be pretty entertaining. It’s a real time grand strategy game, set in space. One can be The United Nations of Earth, The Confederacy of Man, a selection of alien civilizations, or create your own.

One starts with simply their home system, and proceeds to explore, colonize, and eventually deal with the other races scattered over the galaxy.

I um... haven’t actually *finished* a game yet because I end up in some Federation and get dragged into a war I don’t want to be in. It’s like I’m always playing the role of Britain in the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. Except in this version the Iraqis show up with a fleet twice the size of my own.

Anyway yeah, still learning. There’s a lot to it. Anyone familiar?

Fallout 76 and also Fallout 4! Do any others play these? I also like World Of Warcraft!

i'm getting a little ways into the witcher now, and i still agree with my earlier assessment that skyrim was a little better, but i'm becoming a pretty big fan of this one too. i know i still have a lot to learn too. like, i'm level 9, over halfway through the second area's main quest line (plus a lot of optional stuff done), and just tonight i actually used a potion for the first time when it wasn't a storyline requirement. i do wonder if i'll ever stop getting stuck on every object in the game though. i don't want to know how many hours i've spent standing in one spot turning various directions but not going anywhere, just because there's a couple saplings sort of in front of me. on the plus side, gwent is easily one of the most addictive minigames i've played yet.

i played 4 when it was relatively new. also 3 and new vegas. is 76 actually any good? i had planned on getting it when it was first advertised, but then it got some of the worst reviews i've ever seen of a video game so i decided to hold off.

I also played Fallout 4 like 2 years ago. Didn't finish it...! Fallout 76 is online with little npcs as i understood? Sound like it could be fun, but if there's like 25 players max on the whole map I can see how it didn't became a success.

i don't think i ever "finished" a fallout game. maybe 3 at some point? definitely not 4. got to the last battle once in new vegas and discovered i was totally unprepared for it, so i just put it down rather than working to fix my situation.

i think the above assessment of 76 is about right from what i've seen. the idea is that you're part of the first group out of the vaults so there's nobody else out there except the other online players who basically play the role of the other explorers who just left their vaults, although i don't understand why there wouldn't be ghouls and such around too.

haven't encountered a griffin yet, but i'll keep that in mind.

i do wish there was a way to kill your horse. and then resurrect it and kill it again. useless fucker. if you're not going to take the time to make a horse that at least tries to do what you say, then don't bother putting horse racing quests in the game. also don't put underwater treasure and underwater passageways unless you're going to take the time to make the swimming function actually work.

I'm more into simulators and driving games than rpg or shoot-em-up. At the moment, I'm playing Train Sim World, Surviving Mars, Forza Horizon 4 and Ride 3 on Xbox1 - Flight Simulator X, Euro Truck Simulator, The Sims 4 and Ship Simulator Extremes on PC

I eagerly await at least a video of a new Final Fantasy game. I think though there will be nothing for awhile... they're all into the FFVII remake; as though it's a new game. I mean, maybe it is in many ways. But somehow I can't get as excited about it as I would if there were a started-from-scratch brand-spanking-new Final Fantasy game coming out.

I wonder if FFVII will have new characters... :)

Here's the cover. It will do well but I can't being myself to be enthusiastic about it. I loved the original and am not sure what to make of the remix. It's not retro because it's all new. Same story? :)

    I don't know... it's weird.

Well, it’s the first uhh boss... Monster...? You kill. And you can go to the next area... But the next area is higher in level so I’m like... Uhh so what would you have me do....? Grind it out like an old JRPG? That would take like ten years.

oh, i'm stupid then. i've actually been watching for a griffin this whole time, and completely forgot that i killed one right at the beginning.

i didn't grind as in running around killing random monsters; that really would have taken ten years. but i didn't leave white orchard until i had done all the available side quests there, and completed all the undiscovered locations (you know they're completed if the icon on the map is gray instead of white). most of those locations give you better items or equipment, and the side quests give you enough experience that by the time you go to velen you are already a little over-leveled for the easiest quests. and once you're there, the missions pile on so fast there's always at least one that you're strong enough to do. right now i'm in level 17 and i have 25 available quests, with about 7 of them recommended for my level or below.

also it takes a little practice to get good at combat, but once you figure it out you can beat monsters at a significantly higher level. or occasionally run past them if you're lucky. i've already done a couple quests that were supposed to be for levels in the mid to high 20s.

I bought up an Xbox360 console for $60 USD. It's the cheapest thing. But the game I bought for it was a pricier for 360 than PS3. All in all I ended up paying $87 for the system and the game after tax.

The game is one I've tried to get into in the past but been unable. There is an in-game timer; something unfamiliar to me for Final Fantasy games (the game is FFXIII: Lightning Returns). It's going to be an adjustment to rush through instead of exploring dutifully for hours on end. But I've watched the videos of the gameplay and am semi-confident that it will prove to be entertaining despite its limitations.

Last night I played a little bit of Ninja Gaiden 3. Today though, it's going back to the shelf in the store... That's because a) the store has a cool return policy, and b) I have one coming in the mail at some point... (final fantasy xiii: lightning returns), and c) it's a little repetitive.

It's a lot of button mashing if you ask me. I couldn't figure out how to do Hayabusa's moves. It's like he does one thing one time, and a different thing the next time. So... I thought it was neat, and it helped me pass the time, but they could have made it cooler if the controls were more move-specific.

Right now I am at 24,820 points..... I mean days. And still stacking them up ! What can be more inspiring then the game of LIFE ? I am trying to get to 36,500 points- I mean days

I never played this one but the one on the first xbox was the shit at the time. I really enjoyed the first couple of levels (stagnated at some point). The gameplay was above average too. I think i recall the 360 Ninja gaiden had very average reviews.

It's not bad, don't get me wrong. But the enemies in the first level... it just got monotonous for me. It felt like I knew what was going to end up happening later in the game too: that there'd be the same types of guys, but just more of them all at one time. A swarm! :) Lol. It's not bad, but I felt that prediction demotivate me. That and I'm going to exchange it for Mass Effect 2 (I think that's what it's called..).
