Quest or mission? In Dragon age its ought to be quest because it sounds more medieval-y If one is into pokemon perhaps
yup its listed as quests, i think missions would be a subcategory of a quest but i dont know. anyway though the whole dream sequence thing is a bunch of quests that lead up to the fight with uldered. the part that is annoying is you cant just beat one quest and go to another part of the map, you have to beat every quest from the time you enter the castle doors until you beat uldered and its 3 huge quests and one of those quests is broken up into 6 big quests. and being that one quest is in a dreamworld you have to learn a completely new style of play that is only useful in that quest and useless after you beat it. i can see why someone would like that one but for me...if i spent all my time learning a world i dont want to have to learn a whole new one just for one quest.
Buys a new game, needs to wait several hours for installation, updates and then 5gb more updates. I should have known better than wait until I wanted to play to play it. Should have done all the install and updates as soon as I got it home. Now it's going to take a while. My xbone downloads at dial up speeds I swear. My router works fine and fast for everything else except the Xbox but only for updates. It youtubes and games fine. But 5gv update? That'll take 5 hours or so. =[ REMEMBER THEM DAYS WHEN YOU JUST GOT HOME AND PUT THE DISC IN AND THEN YOU WERE PLAYING FEW MINS LATER!!!
I think it's good but it's not good things about doom. How like, there's only your basic weapons and 6 style of enemy. Sure it's like the original, I guess, but I thought it'd have a bit more depth. And although I know the game revolves around running around shooting for the sake of running around and shooting, but so far I find that every scenario is packed with demons. I'm playing on the second difficulty, I'd like to see more solo demons wandering around than mass group attacks.
Some quests would be nice if they gave you a hint on where the people of interest are. It would also be cool if there was more.....ummm dragons. After all it is called dragon age. That's the one thing that skyrim did right.
I could never get into dragon age. I played the origins one. Felt like I was watching anime movie rather than playing a game. I know it's personal preference. Not everyone likes the Elder Scrolls open gameplay, but I'd rather play a game than watch cut scenes.
After playing more of Doom I think I could get used to the controller for a genuine FPS like CoD of Battlefield. Just so used to the mouse point and click, I just never had the reflexes in my fingers to make it work with a controller, especially since FPS games have gotten much more fast paced and the AI moves around instead of standing. But, yeah I think I could move over to console and maybe better because my PC is dead atm and I've not got around to fixing it and it be a bit outdated and need new cards and chip sets etc. for new games anyway. Will make me ponder... I really think this Battlefield WW1 game looks awesome. I wish someone would make another WW2 game, they're the best but WW1 looks sweet too, especially the bi plane dogfights.
I actually haven't checked to far into updated graphics for those 2 games. I know there used to be TONS of add-on cars for both games, but they may have vanished over the years. Internet gets hungry, you know. Carma1 doesn't look bad at all. I've yet to test Carma2, but I never was a big fan of the second installment. The graphics looked too matte and cartoon-like. I'm pretty sure there is a texture enhancement in the works though. It's when 2D tries to be 3D, there lies a problem. And of course texture size. Duke Nukem still looks great, with 2D sprites and all, but I really love all the new engines with updated graphics and hi-res textures people are working on for games like Quake I and II, Duke3D, Shadow Warrior, etc. There's even one for Commander Keen series now! It seems as though Apogee, 3D Realms and id Games created some of the most popular and memorable games PC games in the 90's and 2k era.
Ugh. Apparently there's a new Doom update. centred the gun like old school. I hope there's an option not to do that. Has anyone played online yet? And if so, can you be the demons? Or we all running around as the person? I need a gold membership to play online. Lol.
It always seems to say to me though that game "requires" an update like I don't the option to say no. =\
That's true. Though I was under the impression the xbone is always connected? I never connect mine it's just always online lol.
There's probably an option to have the online connection switched off, or if not (would be terrible annoying) via a cable connection instead of wireless. Then... don't use the cable and you're offline If it is set on wireless online connection and you have that option in your house it automatically connects if it can. I had to get into my ps4 settings to make it connect wireless though, all depends on your router settings I guess.
I returned it but left it installed on my machine. Just wanted the money for other things... Now I've got:
I am looking forward to that Tomb Raider on PS4. Xbox got it first but now I heard a rumor it's been canceled.
Ugh. I had auto save only on checkpoints for doom. lol. Twice now I've gone into a firefight and I've lost. =[ actually, 3 times. Though I get better each time and I've really learned to use my environment. For instance, high ground owns always has so I hide around a corner they all try and climb up the ramp. They stand no chance though lol.
