I think about issues i have at hand.
I am just laying down not doing anything and my mind just races which is why half the time i can't sleep.

Sometimes i meditate and clear my mind when i can't clear my mind on my own so i can actually get some sleep. Sometimes i think about people i love and sometimes i think about the next day coming or even sometimes if i'm exited about something.

If I Think About What I Did Today, Or What I Intend To

Do Tomorrow, Sleep Will Never Happen, It's Time To

Get Up And Raid The Fridge...:(

I Try To Put My Mind In Neutral And Then Toss And Turn

A Few Times, If After An Hour That Doesn't Work, I

Turn The Puuuter Back On And Sit There Till My First

Yawn, Then It's Back To Bed And Try Again...:).

The Best Cure I Have Ever Found For Insomnia Was To

Get Dressed And Take A Walk For A Couple Of Km's,

Works Every Time, Even When It's Cold Or Raining...:).

    Cheers Glen.

    Good morning,

hm, I feel uncomfortable if I start breathing consciously. Strange, isn't it.

That's a good idea. Everyone should have an org file of white or pink noise. It can help you falling asleep or to get focused and concentrated in a noisy environment.

    Regards
    Gyro

    Hello,

milk  ;). Have to put sardines on my shopping list. Cabanossi is a good midnight snack, too. Sometimes I throw a pizza into the oven at that time. Makes me sleep like a baby.

We have conditioned all since birth to breathe incorrectly. We get air but we do not empty toxins. Unless you empty the lungs the lower lobe does not clear toxins.

Watch any baby breathe before we mess with their little minds, they breathe in with their lungs and bellies rise, they exhale with the bellies empty releasing the toxins and the pounding of the bottom of the lung with the exhale. They do not know any better as we have not messed with their head or lungs on the premise it is not nice or social to do breathing this way.

Listen to the air going in and make your belly expand like a balloon and then hold it for 3 seconds, exhale for double the time to inhale and your tummy will deflate.

Welcome to yoga lesson 1. Breath and it's power.

We have really messed up.......breathing is not even a given anymore.

Oh by the way.....do not introduce this on a first date. Seconds are hard to come by. ;)

    Hello,

I hear you and I think you are right, but... ;). While hiking I try that from time to time. Or I try to synchronise breathing and the steps I do and the movements of my body. And it feels so argrgfhghhhh let me out here ;).

    ;)

Dont sleep much , to much monkey chatter in my head , and lets not talk about the nightmares ,Prince valium helps on occasions, but hey insomnia has its perks too , you can get plenty of reading done , watch movies , work in the garden (dont ask , the neighbours are used to it ) at 2 in the morning, plus i'm first at the breakfast table :2thumbsup:
