this is a great post!! your awesome chaos! there is nothing wrong with being gay. people who are gay are just being who they are, and I am a big supporter of people being true to themselves. If you have a problem with gay people in general, than I honestly feel sorry for you.
but you dont have a problem with all these straight sexuality shows that are flambouyant and annoying? at least queer eye is funny.
I'm absolutely sick of the Christian Conservatives and every other anti-gay movement out there. First of all the fact that they still believe that gays are hellbound, because Moses said that if 2 men lay together, both men should be stoned to death. Homophobia should be non-existent in today's culture. Personally I think that all sex, no matter if it's with another person of the opposite sex, the same sex, with 2 or 3 other people, or by yourself, is completely natural. If it gives you pleasure, I believe that it should be fine, but others don't think that way, and that's what really pisses me off. I listen to Elton John, and I'm not put off by the fact that he is a homosexual. He has made great music over that last 40 years, and sexual orientation has absolutely nothing to do with it. There is a gay couple that live down the street from me, and they're active members of my community. Although I can tell in some other neighbor's expressions that they might not fully appreciate everything that they do, because of the fact that they're homosexuals. I really wish that the gay bashing would stop. Anybody on this forum that says anything anti-gay, should be ashamed of themselves, because they're expressing a feeling that probably has no logical basis.
people that are totally at peace with their own sexuality never have a problem with other peoples. whats that old saying 'I think you protest too much' S
I'm very comfortable with my sexuality. I think that Christians aren't comfortable, because they're forbidden from exploring it.
I carried a sign in a gay pride parade back when I had to use a wheelchair with my wife pushing me the sign said, "In 54 years no gay person has ever told me how to live"
I'm not sure if there's any confusion going on here, however if there is, I will stress that my last comment (you protest to much) was directed at the author of this thread not you S
love is love... gays are fine with me, gay marriage is fine with me...why discriminate and make people hide when they could be free and happy with whoever it is they truly are, and whoever it is they truly love?
because people on this thread are trying to defend the human rights of gay people and bring awareness to people who don't think like you and me S
Ah. I figure that eventually, gay rights will be accepted as the norm, just as black people are viewed as white people's equals now (in general). Arguing now with people who are convinced that gay people are freaks is, in my opinion, utterly pointless. As humans, I think we'll get over this mentality shortly. I hope so, anyway.
how do you think equlity happens, it doesn't happen if people sit back and don't challange views and attitudes, granted one thread won't make a big difference and it sounds like it will take a lot to change the view of the author but then other people might read it and reflect on their prejudices. having discussed the issue of rasism with the black people I know and work with , while I hear that its better I also hear that often they are not treated as equals in many ways- so I don't think hoping it will get better will do anything unless we stand up and challange negative attitudes. as for this thread the other way of dealing with it (which I expect you may have been in favour with) was to completly ignore it, as it is I think people have started a strong discussion which is at the very least interesting S
Why does there seem to be so many more bisexual females than males? I actually have never met a bisexual male! Any thoughts?
