White men have been able to be "proud" of what they are for thousands of years. Only since the downtrodden have actually been able to show Pride has this changed. I'm not "proud" of being white. Why? When you are the majority race, gender, nationality ect, there is no need for pride, things are easier for you anyway.

A story, with a different ending than Levi's. When my dd Sunshine was a Senior in HS, a bunch of kids decided they would not stand for the "Pledge" and the School Song. It was Sunshine, two other white girls, two white dudes, a coupld of Middle Eastern kids, and three black dudes and a black girl. The Prinicpal came over, grabbed the Middle Eastern and Black kids, and told them they were suspended for "causing trouble" when Sunshine and the other white kids called attention to the fact that they, too, did the same thing, they were ignored. The Black kids and the Middle Eastern kids got suspended, the white kids didn't. Sunshine wrote a letter to the school newspaper and they never printed it. When she asked, she was told that the kids who got suspended "had a history of causing trouble" despite the fact that most of them didn't and several of the white kids, who weren't suspended did.

The Dominant race, sex, nationality and gender usually gets the perks in most societies, whether they work hard or not. They don't need to be "proud" of getting what others can't get, despite hard work and effort.

i like being a woman, i'm fine being white and native american because i am happy being who i am.
i also think it is just fine to be proud of who you are as long as you don't look down apon others for being who they are. peace.

    I want to be me.

How do I know that my experience on Earth would be all that much different if I were a man (aside from the obvious) ?

A womyn. Because I live having babies, having them in my body, and feeding them from my body. I enjoy taking care of them, while they are part of me, and taking pride when I see thier little faces and bodies and arms and legs chub up and knowing it was ME who did it.

Oh, and being a womyn in her 40s, two words.....Multiple Orgasm. Bwahahahahahahhaaaa!!!! (When that started happening my dh asked me "How can you do that without dying?")

It would be interesting to be a man for a day. I'd like to in the winter, so I can write my name in the snow. :) It would be weird to have that thing hanging around all the time, always adjusting it, and playing with it, and worrying about when it'll get what it wants ect. ;)

my name is short enough to write in the snow, but it requires hopping about and careful planning.

i dont really focus on that duality. i like being the combination of both that i am.

multiple orgasms, AND peeing my name in the snow.
i can only do both if i take my pants off.

I didn't know one had it any easier than the other. Maybe this is coming from growing up in a rough and tumble mining town but growing up and seeing some guys getting the shit kicked outta them all I could think of at the time was "boy am I lucky I’m a girl, I have a much much lower risk of getting beaten up”.

To answer this I gotta say there are some losers of both sexes I would NOT wanne be. For instance I’d rather be a good-looking guy of middle income or better than be an ugly crack whore. I’d also rather be me than be that hideous guy at the corner I’ve over heard say he couldn’t get laid in 12 years.

    So spooner…
I take it that you’re not so much of a loser that you can get laid. Not every guy can say that, I know guys that can’t get laid like that guy I just mentioned so it doesn’t really matter how often they can cum from sex if they’re not getting any. With me it’s quality over quantity, I cum more often than not and when I do cum it is ALWAYS volcanic. A number of my lovers and myself have noted that I cum much more intensely than they.

Besides, each sex has their own drawbacks and their own benefits so I think it works out.

Also the last I saw of suicide statistics, males composed of a disproportionately higher number.

Unless I actually got to try out being a man, I have no real way of knowing.
I'm fairly certain some aspects of life, different ones, are probably easier on both genders.
Oh, & I very rarely don't come. I see that posted a lot in here. Though, that took experience first. ;)

It's ironic though, more women then men try to commit suicide, but more men actually do. I've still yet to find a good reason behind that fact.

It's because men always go for the more violent deaths like shooting themselves or hanging themselves while women tend to try and overdose on pills. Generally someone finds the woman and phones 911, their stomach is pumped and they don't die, while with the men it's generally too late by the time anyone finds them.

Actually, I thought about it for a few seconds. I would rather be a man than a woman because then I don't have to worry about being raped and all the other crap women have to put up with from men. I like not having to worry about grown men coming after me and doing crazy stuff to me or being raped by my boyfriend.

Also, the biological factor pregnancies and periods. Also, the existing and dominant cultural, and social roles. male dominated language. Obviously, women have it a lot better today than before. Thanks, to the feminist movement.

or worry about walking down the street during the night

It is unluckiness to be born with a female body.

^i dont think its "unluckiness to be born with a female body" but i do agree that females have higher risk factors for certain things like rape and that does suck.

over all though- i wouldnt give up being female for anything.... if i was given the oppurtunity to be a man for a day- sure, it would be interesting. but really, i love being female- i do believe there is a difference in the way women feel their emotions and nurturing side and i wouldnt wanna give that up.

depression is more common in women then in men, hormonal factors i suppose. we are more emotionally complex. women probably whimp out more when it comes to the actual act of suicide.

Females may be more victimized with sexual crimes but males are more victimized with physical crimes, more men than women are beaten up, mugged. I’ve seen a lot of men get their faces rearranged and yikes, would not wanna be him. BTW, rape does not render the victim inorgasmic, except maybe in the most brutal and extreme cases which is a small portion of rapes out there. I walk down the street at night with my earphones on, guess I’m not too worried.

About periods, modern pain relievers are effective, besides not all women get cramps, I rarely get them and when I do they are only for the first day but I pop midol and I’m as good as new :).

As far as pregnancies go, the benefit of that over men is the certainty that the baby is their own blood. Men (until modern DNA analysis) did not have that certainty. That is men are not sure that they’ve continued their blood line, not with the same certainty that females have, and biologically that has importance, even if it’s not important to you at this time.

The only times I don’t cum is when I’m going to bed at 3 or 4 am so not gonna ask for full service and usually settle for a quickie, tho some quickies make me cum. Before falling into the late night habit I came all the time. But why should I not engage in the occasional quickie, my bf gives me so much pleasure it would be an imbalance without them.

Lots of women cum pretty much all of the time, many have multi orgasms, many have full body orgasms which from what I can see seems to be easier for women to achieve than men and many have the most intense, mind-blowing orgasms which again as far as I can tell seem to be easier for women to achieve than men. I also know of a man who didn’t cum intensely and confided in me that he was bored with sex, and it wasn’t just with me but all women he was with.

So that’s my assessment – men have it easier to achieve orgasm, women have it easier to achieve really powerful orgasms.

I am very lucky to be the woman that I am than to be a man. I cum more intensely than any man I’ve seen and I’d rather have that than anything else, periods are a minor trade-off. I also have sexier legs and ass than men :) which succeeds in me getting men who will do anything to pleasure me :p.

Curious, are you including domestic violence in that?
