I don't have a degree or certification in anything, but I'm supposed to be getting my food service certification soon. I work as the assistant manager at a small town fast food restaurant, I make $12 an hour, and I work anywhere from 30-40 hours a week. It's kind of easy to find jobs doing entry-level jobs in this town in particular, the gas stations have a high turnover rate. It's pretty easy to get hired on where I work if business is good. As assistant manager, I pretty much do what I've been doing the past few years. I run every shift I work (well, when the manager isn't there), I'm in charge of the money, the crew, watching labor percentages and sales, helping with inventory, and pretty much am my boss's bitch. Fortunately, it's a pretty good thing we've got going on, so I haven't been screwed over. First boss I've ever had who treated me right, sometimes I think this is too good to be true, lol. Oh yeah, and I cook. If I'm there, doesn't matter, I'm in kitchen. Always. That's where I go and I will not work anywhere else unless they need help. lol
