Oh Willedwill isn't a troll! He's a human! I didn't like how he got grumpy though. Bad human! Fingermouse: Any?! But there are so many of us! I'm sure only you will do, for you! You're so sensible! : D I'm not teasing! Well maybe a little bit, but you really are! Whoah, easy there! Do we yet know what open-mindedness is? But it's so much fun to feel certain when we feel no harm in it! We could waste a lifetime on calculating what of our experience actually...matters. I say reason is enough. I say love is as good a reason as any, as long as we keep making it so. Me too, and yet it's not out of place since they do so. What on earth shall we do?! : D How to leave obsession out of self-expression?
No dieties, No souls, no spirits, no kings Just life. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night, right?
i believe we live in a universe that is statistical rather then hierarchical, and not that it requires the infallibility of anything. that being said, it also does not require the non-existence of anything, within or without it. i do not believe that what we see is all that we get. though i equally seriously doubt, that any claim of knowledge as to what is beyond the purview of science, has the slightest idea what its talking about. i believe that matters of the spirit very much exist and that nonphysical friends make very good friends, even if they don't have very much to do with the universe we live in physically.
So it's fun to believe in fairies, and that's a good enough reason to leave the fairy-believers alone and count their beliefs as equal to those based in reality. Afterall, they do no harm. I'm a big mean old spoilsport, and anyone who believes in facts and remains skeptical about fantasies is automatically arrogant. Actually, no. I'm not needlessly spoiling fun by pointing out that believing wholeheartedly and without question in something for which there is no evidence is delusional and potentially harmful. It's obvious to any rational person why I make the point. I'm incredibly glad that there have been scientists over the last few centuries who understand the point too, and have allowed rationality to take precedence over such bullshit so we can actually progress as a species rather than sitting about in caves until death at the age of 20, or murdering eachother to try and please an invisible entity in the sky. (unfortunately, this still happens for some particularly deranged individuals who would probably rather I didn't point out the lack of scientific evidence for their theories)
Fingermouse: !? I don't think you're a big mean spoilsport at all! Well, I think it's fine for you to do so. As I don't believe in god, I'm not sure why you imagine I would necessarily let belief take precedence over reason, only that you seemed to think I was suggesting you were a spoilsport! I think you might be one now. Just a little one. But if that's the case, then so am I! (Please don't take me too seriously! At least not at the expense of fun!)
I won't be writing here for a few weeks, I'm going away tomorrow. Take care. ( Or at least make sure you are so carefree that it is all taken )
I believe that the Chinese avoid superstition in America by claiming billing inquiries with the advantage of offering advice that your trust is welcome for sexual competition. Billing was the faith in no common God about the superiority conscience one person against another.
i believe there is more that is friendly then wishes anyone harm. that there is even infinitely more that has no more idea we exist then we have of it. that none of it is obliged to resemble anything anyone anywhere ever has believed or been taught to. i believe there are things no one knows anything about. that some of them might be completely nonphysical, that among the nonphysical there might be something a great deal like what humans call god. NOT quite entirely like what anyone claims or believes about it though.
I believe I shouldn't skip breakfast...but I do oh, and I do not believe in the concept of spirit, soul, god, miracles or anything along those lines...
I believe my guitar makes cool sounds when I use my fingers right...same with women. I believe that the food I will soon eat will end my hunger. I believe that if I were to shoot myself in the face, it would probably ruin my looks or kill me. I believe that ghosts don't exists and if they do, interaction is impossible. I believe that religion is a good thing for people in need. I believe it has been bent over and has been in the process of being violated for some time. I believe in things that I can witness with my own eyes and my eyes see too many good moral religions keeping the people from advancing as one. I believe worship is pointless.
