I have two empty rooms just really enjoying living alone. But it's getting out of hand :( If someone will cook and clean I'd let them live here for free, I just need to accept the fact I can't do it all myself.

Why not look for someone like that then?

My aunt had a student live with her for 4 years, it worked out really great. She provided room and board and he helped with the yard work and lane in winter.

Advertise and see what you can find as you need to eat to stay healthy and someone may need that bit of a break. :)

I had some wild caught silver brite salmon that I bought from Trader Joe's. I've never had this variety of salmon before, and I didn't really like it as much as other types I've had (Sockeye, Coho, etc.) It wasn't bad, but I doubt I will get it again. Plus, I found the color of the fish to be a rather unappealing silver-grey. This type of salmon supposedly has less fat than other types, and when it comes to salmon, this isn't exactly a good thing since the fat in fish is what makes it healthy.

I don't know.. I mean I guess mainly because I don't the money and I'm stubborn. Also I have two large (animal and intruder) aggressive dogs so I need someone who can handle them. Plus my last gf tried to ruin my life so I went even more me against the world. Bought a house and just hellbent on doing everyone on my own.

Lordy don't date her instead hire her in exchange for room and board with a contract in case it does not work out. :)

Or look for a male to room with that also likes to cook. You could instead hire someone to deep clean once a week. Or he may not mind cleaning as well.

I am sure your dogs are well trained so you just need to find someone use to dealing with real dogs.

Never know until you look. :)

With extra rooms and all I can understand the cleaning part :p but cooking for only yourself really is something anybody can do. It's not like I am anything near a chef and I also don't spend a lot of time (or that much money) on cooking. If I can pull it off I am convinced you can too. Hell, you probably have a better kitchen than me as well :2thumbsup: It only has to take half an hour if you insist. I can imagine that is pretty much the time you drive to the takeaway?
Also, you don't have to cook good or healthy everyday. If you just start by cooking 2 times a week for yourself it's already a great start. I still recall when I got into it: it's really turning a switch in your brain. "Now I'm gonna do it!". By the way, grocery shopping is not a hobby of me neither :D

yeah, its pretty easy to throw together a meal and if you're cooking for one its easy to make enough for leftovers that will feed you for another day or two.

just as an example, you can throw some Italian dressing on some chicken, pop it in the oven for an hour, and steam some broccoli and carrots. You just made a healthy meal and the prep time took less than 5 minutes.

To be honest I don't want any roommates anymore. A serious girlfriend, yeah sure, but roommates suck. That's the only thing holding me back. And I've had one female roommate. There was always this kind of tension but I made no moves out of respect. Well, it's now 4 years later and I told her a few months ago how I felt during that time and she had no idea. Now I'm taking her out to dinner when she moves back to this city in Jan.

I only get roommates that I at least think are like minded and I'd vibe with, and combining that with a female that cooks and cleans? I don't think I couldn't fall for her.

I am seriously considering a maid service but I guess I need to stop bitching about the food situation and just deal with it.

Those rooms don't get dirty I just leave the doors shut. They're like museums haha. See my problem is not money it's more time and energy. I am on the move all day long for 10-12 hours every day right now, focused yet all over the place. I don't want to come home and have 15 things cooking at once then have to clean it up. Just worn out. If I worked less or not at all I'd be whipping up all types of gourmet shit. It's just a matter of having too many focuses and not giving a shit about cooking I just want to eat.

I usually cook on sundays, because by that time I feel halfway human again. It's hard to explain. During the week forget it..

I do appreciate the comments and helpful advice from all. This is just a problem with no good solution right now, I shouldn't even bring it up.

One of my managers is helping out though. I go into work most mornings and there is breakfast there. Today was a pita stuffed with egg and sausage, it was super good.

Now I'm off to get some takeout for dinner :2thumbsup:

I can understand that and get it. I would not ever have a roommate again. I did so when in university and it was great but after that it is an invasion of my private time.

Yeah man, I understand. 15 things at once is quite the other extreme of course. I have a 2 stove cooker, which means I'm not busy with more than 3 things at once generally :D Maybe you would get more energy with the right food though. Anyone can cook some rice and beans and some broccoli for example. Wouldn't exhaust no one, just turn the switch in the brain and go for it. Not that I do it (i'm downtown near all the stores) but I always found it a good tip if you wanna cook but hate thinking what and buying it to buy most of your vegetables and stuff at one spot in the week and fill up your storage and fridge. Then you don't have to think about most of your grocery shopping for m ost of the week! :2thumbsup:
