This makes me wonder, what is the difference? If you consume far more protein than fat for example? What's the consequence?

Being on a low carb, ketogenic diet, it needs to be high fat. Too much protein would throw me out of ketosis, because the liver converts amino acids (like protein) into glucose in the liver by a process called gluconeogenesis. Fat is the only one of the three macronutrients that does not cause an insulin response. A typical ketogenic diet is approximately 70-80% fat, and around 10-20% protein, with the remaining 10% coming from low-glycemic carbs like fruits and vegetables.

    trader joe's

    paneer tikka masala

    with spinach bismati rice.

well that was the most recent thing i ate, obviously after i got back from the store.

the first thing when i got back was some water mellon spears and a cup of orangina.

before i left i had some polenta with spinich and carrots and some breaded shrimps and peppers.

while i was out, before i went to the store, i had a roast beef at the subway next to it, on a six inch honey oat with avacado, spinich leaf, bell peppers, cucumbers, black olives, dill pickles, peppenccini, and jalapinos. and a small dr pepper.

Very interesting! I also wondered several times what actually gets processed by insulin and what not. I'm not certain yet (naturally :p) but your opinion/stance is appreciated :2thumbsup:
