    half a turkey sandwich, which I want to vomit out, but I have a huge big glass of ice water now...and there is nothing like it....:)

    I would also put all that stuff on a nice piece of bread but the bacon seems enough (although yes, once you get started on that it might be over too soon... :p)

    So far a bagel with cinnamon, mushroom soup, and some Sprite zero.

    Dinner will be pork with sweet potatos, corn, and various grains.

    Eggs are not too bad for your arteries/cholestrol, I thought? I do understand it was the consensus and perhaps it still is.

    Yeah, I dunno. The yolks are good and bad for various reasons. I've tried to find out the truth about eggs for six years now and I cannot. I've read endlessly, asked my doctor, asked a nutritionist, read more... Still at the wishy washy answer, 'an egg a day should be okay.'

    I love eggs! I'd eat 5 a day if I could! Well.. If they were pretty benign.

    There's good cholesterol in eggs. How if affects those levels is when mixed with other foods that do the same. So..bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, not so good. Poached or hardboiled eggs and toast..not too bad. They haven't been proven to show significant increases in cholesterol levels on their own.

    That's the latest I've read anyways. Egg health changes with the weather..

    And not only eggs. What about margarine/butter! Crazy, I feel a bit duped (yes I have bought margarine too). Although apparently not all margarine is bad... but you have to get on it in order to know.

    It is crazy! The whole butter vs margerine thing is based largely on the fact that margerine is derived from solids and resolidifies in the body I believe. Whereas with butter, yes dairy isn't the best idea and it's fattening, but it is a solid that doesn't resolidify. So there's less refining for the body to do.

    Much like "white" food. My doctor said to me 6 years ago (cause I got obsessive with health and fitness) "avoid white foods." White bread, white rice, white sugar, white pasta, etc.

    They're already refined. The body knows how much to absorb and how much to excrete based on how much it has to refine. So, when we eat white foods that are already refined for us, the body absorbs it all because it doesn't know when to stop.

    The quick result is a spike in blood sugar levels. The long result is obesity and perhaps diabetes.

    Whole grains are broken down by our bodies. So it takes what it needs and discards the rest.

    Furthermore, an interesting fact about fat. Animals (humans included) have absolutely no receptor anywhere that tells the body it has taken in enough fat. The reason being is that fat in the wild is quite scarce. When a lion or tiger kills, they often eat the liver first.

    It's a natural defence mechanism in all of us, because natural fat it so hard to come by. The liver being the fattiest organ.

    So, we have never evolved (yet) a switch that tells the body we've had enough fat. Our brains love fat. We eat eat eat it and our bodies store store store it. Never enough!

    Thus the obesity epidemic.

    Well, there is doubt about the whole grains too... I admit I am inclined to agree with what you said about white bread and stuff and I live by it too (avoid white bread and enjoy good but not cheap whole grain bread, the better ones are really too tasty: screw those cheap standard breads!).

    Interesting indeed :2thumbsup: Not entirely convinced though.

    BBQ chicken breasts, corn on the cob, green beans, greek pasta salad and a tossed salad.

    I am so glad that it is nice enough to BBQ again!! :)

    Eggs are a whole food and loaded with essential fats, vitamins and minerals your body needs. Fat and cholesterol is good for you. Most doctors don't know shit about anything other than prescribing pharmaceutical drugs, so they would be the last people you would want to ask about nutrition.

    Dietary cholesterol has little to no impact on blood cholesterol levels, and cholesterol alone poses no health risks and is actually vital to have adequate amounts of. As soon as a person starts eating sugar, THAT causes their triglycerides and LDL to rise, as well as causes inflammation throughout the body.

    Cholesterol has been made an issue of because it sells drugs. It's better to have cholesterol that is too high than too low.

    The problem with most margarine is that it's made up of free radicals and oxidized trans fats that have a high omege-6 to 3 ratio, which wreak havoc on the body and cause all sorts of inflammatory responses within. It has nothing to do with being a solid or anything like that. Butter, on the other hand, being a whole food, is loaded with vitamins and minerals, and high in the natural saturated fats your body needs to thrive.

    I ate a whole bunch of fat earlier today (butter, coconut oil, MCT oil), then ate a big salad around noon before going to bed in order to get some rest before going into work tonight. In the next couple of minutes I will be making bacon and eggs, though since going fully ketogenic I am rarely hungry even after an almost full day of fasting.
