liver makes a wonderful flavoring for onions.

also made some more today with pastrami also. the tortoise were chicken and proscuto.
the soup base in the knorr powdered chicken bullion (sparingly) plus a few drops of lemon concentrate.
the spudato salad is the one from tj's, that between that and the pestrami, really didn't need much more in the way of seasoning.

that was breakfast. for evening yesterday and probably today too, was frozen chopped spinich with pestrami and very little of the soup base combo.
i didn't make the potatoe thick, but with the spinich, i used just enough water to cover.

in both cases, a one serving bowl, in the micro, one of those cheap little not super powerful micros, timer set 3:21.

sort of my standard default for that amount. in a more powerful or even a new little one, the setting would probably be less.

i'd been not well for several days before, so finally being able to eat this much was wonderful.

You're going to fucking love this. Homemade vegan chocolate chip muffins. I've been wanting to do this recipe for ages. Okay, not ages. But, since I was in the hospital, and every morning I would ask for their chocolate chip muffin. I didn't know you can eat this for breakfast. It's crazy. Now, I'm eating sweet potato ravioli, that I made the other day. It's still good. It's still good. I can't cook everyday. I don't know how other people do it.

After observing some of the healthiest people I know I've come to conclusion that people really don't need to eat three meals a day.
Sometimes a meal is just enough, and fasting is very underrated.

    Just an observation.

yes. i feel much better doing so. and the swelling in my feet has gone down, that i've had for a couple of years also.
it takes a while to get the stomic used to not demanding so much, but worth it.

Yeah, pretty much everything I heard about it is good and people really do feel much better. I am glad it worked for you and your feet.
I already fast at least one day a week (minimal or no food), but I'd like to do better.

I really do feel a lot better when I eat less, and I think 3 meals or 5 smaller ones are really not needed for most people.

the trick is, you don't have to do anything fancy all the time.
i'm sort of the other way, i don't see how people can eat out at fast food places all the time, or have fried or suggary for every breakfast.
but i will have something similar two or three days in a row if it agrees with me enough.
i don't slavishly try to make anything quite the same every time, but i don't do a lot of things where it takes multiple steps to do so.
that just really isn't neccessary. really simple things can be really good.
you just need to develop your own easy things that taste good to you.

I tried water fasting, but I took my medication with it. You're not suppose to take anything with water fasting, but I was like, "Unless you want me to have a seizure, I'm taking my fucking medication". But, it helped with some medical issues I was experiencing. It's just hard because you have to drink a ton, and make sure the water is cleaned. It becomes a thing. And I'm too lazy for things. However, I've been considering doing another one for the new year. This will be my third time with water fasting.

As for how many meals I eat a day, one... pretty much. Two, if I can get it in. But, normally one with like bits and pieces.

I heard snacking is the best.

It's funny how healthy eating is all over the place these days. Being vegan is good. No, it's bad. Snacking to lose weight. No, that's bad. However, the fitness world isn't like that. Excerise will always be good. Eating, really depends on the person.

I don't want to be a slave to the kitchen. But, I enjoy cooking. I also enjoy going out to eat, but I don't want to eat out everyday. I even eat frozen food at times, but of course, I wouldn't want to eat that eveyday for everything. I'm vegetarian, but I try my best to eat vegan. I have to be careful with the amounts and what I eat due to my medical conditions. I like small meals, but I don't like snacking. I hate large meals, It just does no good for my body. So, I think for my age I have a pretty good idea of what my food habits need and want to be. Of course, the game changer is my medical conditions. Just last year and some of the beginning of the year... food was just not my thing. My body wasn't having any food. But, now my appetite is back. So, the true boss in all of this is not me, but my medical conditions, lol

Oh, and I fucking love sandwiches.
Easy, quick, and so, so good.
I have so many sandwich recipes.
I love sandwiches, wraps are included in what I mean by a sandwich.

I don't even care if that is unhealthy. You can all leave me alone, in the corner... with my sandwiches.

Went out with friends Friday to a local restaurant; I had fried catfish with tartar sauce, hush puppies, mashed potatoes 'n gravy, white beans, fried okra, onion rings and apple crisp.

I went to a Sushi Restaurant we have out here called Kabuki. I had Spicy Seafood Udon (Pasta) & a Kabuki Roll (Specialty roll that has a variety of fish, caviar, and Japanese mint leaves. It was delicious.
