i was right...that steak and tomato was delicious

its weird how fresh ground pepper can taste so damn good on a grilled tomato

the zesty italian dressing really makes a difference too when you let it soak into the steak for a few hours before grilling

I had some really nice ripe cherries earlier and I just ordered ethiopian food for dinner that I am eating now. I got my new favourite, gored gored, plus a really neat lamb dish that is made with injera bread soaked in a sauce and fried up with the lamb then served on more injera. The soaked break sort of makes this stew like consistency that I really like.

You keep making me want to have grilled steak! When you say BBQ steak, do you mean made on the grill (barbecue) or a steak cooked in a BBQ sauce? We say grilled steak here when made on the barbecue. Different vernacular so I wondered. My barbecue is defunct and I don't want to invest in one at the moment. I think I need me a hibachi.

Made on the grill... Charcoal and sometimes wood fired. None of that propane stuff around here.

    Fried rice

61 grams uncooked rice with 2x the water boiled
    2 eggs scrabbled
    mixed veggies, 100+ grams
    Fried rice spice WITH MSG
    Honey
    Soy sauce

Kinda have a hanker'n for fried potatoes with corn and cheddar.

OMG! I bought a bottle of nature's Promise Organic Teryaki sauce, and grilled a boneless, skinless piece of chicken in , after it marinated in it for few hours and made some creamed spinach to go with it and a glass of apple cidar, and that is my meal for the day....

I am going to be putting this teryaki on everything...I can see that now.... :D

    It is so good!

Ha ha! Gotta add the flavour somehow! I just find propane BBQ's are too close to oven cooking. The only advantage is when it's hot you can cook outdoors and not heat up the house. But there's nothing like the taste of charcoal or woodfire bbq meals.

if your bbq tastes like oven food youre definitely not doing it right

today was grilled rib eye that was of course marinated in italian dressing first

and some grilled tomatoes ...grilled until they were black on all edges....

and i grilled a banana too it turned out delicious ...the sweetness of it went perfect with that steak and tangy tomato chunks
