    Sushi.

I have a seriously uncontrollable addiction to sushi.

    I think I need help.

    I am powerless over sushi.

I haven't tried that one yet, thanks, I'll look for it. I had another one of their (DuVillage 1860) washed rind cheeses, the Maître Jules. I found it has a neat effect. It's sharp when it first hits your tongue, then changes to a mellow creaminess, then back to a sharp aftertaste. I really liked this one.

They threw in a cheese from Switzerland (the canton of Vaud) called Le Maréchal so I had to try it. It's a hard cheese aged for 2 years, not too creamy, but not crumbly either. It's very savoury and I detected an herbal taste right away so had to investigate. Dried herbs are hand rubbed onto each wheel. I had it with a bit of fig spread, the sweet was a perfect complement to the savoury tones in the cheese. I'll definitely buy this one again.

600 Calories for breakfast! I had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of sourdough toast, a Swedish pancake (not included in Calories), and a small bowl of mixed fruit. I can't believe there were that many calories in such a small breakfast. Lol! :) To the gym!

Last night I went out to dinner with my girlfriend to Guido's Pasta Villa here in Rochester. The food was incredible. We shared the fried calamari as an appetizer, along with fresh baked Italian bread, then for an entree I had chicken Parmesan with ziti. I didn't take a picture of the food, though I wish I did. This is ranked as one of the top Italian restaurants in the area, and it's clear to see why once you try the food. It is not the most fancy restaurant and is quite old school, but the food is second to none.

Last night I ordered manakish pies from a nearby lebanese place. There are a billion shawarma places in ottawa, but only a couple of places make these. I'm lucky, since one of them delivers to my house. I got zaataar, spinach pies and meat pies. My boyfriend and I shared them and we still have a couple leftover in the fridge too!

A couple more Quebec cheeses. I tried another Blackburn (Jonquière, Quebec) cheese called Le Mont-Jacob. It's named after the mountain across from the cheese shop. I may have to pay a visit. Besides the shop, there are walking trails and a cultural exhibition centre. If I can pull myself away from the cheeses, I could make a day of it.

Le Mont-Jacob is a washed rind semi-soft cheese with a fruity and nutty taste that melts in your mouth. A little mild for my tastes but overall a very nice cheese.

The second is Le Péribonka by La Normandinoise, named after a village in the northern Lac-Saint-Jean region (where our wild blueberries come from!). This one is a very soft moist cheese, runny actually and somewhat sticky. It's acidic but not very flavourful. I'm not too fond of this one.

I found a big American style pizza and then I took it home and added different cheese and jalapeños and some chilli sauce and it was like one of the best pizza I ever ate. :)

For some reason at work today we had a baked potato day, so I had a baked potato with butter, sour cream, bacon (real bacon, not fake bacon bits) , green onions, and cheese. It was pretty delicious, i think it was my first baked potato in years for whatever reason.

Then one of my coworkers is leaving for another job so all the diabetic girls in the office decided to bring a bunch of sweets to celebrate - not even kidding, i think almost all of the women who planned this have been diagnosed with diabetes.

I rarely eat sugar but today I had a donut, some kind of whipped pineapple pie, a brownie, and another donut later. My stomach hurts.

I do fine without sugar for like 2/3 of a day. Then when I taste something sweet I become sugar junkie monster!

"St. Alphonzo was the patron saint of Smelt Fisherman of the Portuguese persuasion."

For breakfast I had a smoothie with bananas, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, yogurt, orange juice, whey protein, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, bee pollen, cacao, and ground flax seeds. for lunch I had leftover Mac and Cheese with pulled pork from the barbecue joint around the corner from my house.
