I had a simple omelette today, just brick cheese and red onion, and tarragon. It turned out so good. You could taste the tarragon more than usual, yum!

I'm the only one eating again. Poor poor hungry members of hf. You can share my tartines. Gouda and tomato tartines with yummy sweet oranges for lunch.

That looks like some nice crusty bread you've used there for the tartine, Lucy...do I see sesame seeds?

It's actually caraway rye bread. No sesame seeds. I think that's cornmeal on the bottom if that's what you're referring to. It's not a very good pic. I had to edit it on my mobile and I don't have a good photo editing app. Either that or it's time to clean your specs! [IMG]

It's hot as heck so breakfast is the main meal again. Mushroom and cheese omelette with spicy salsa. Gotta have salsa with a mushroom and cheese omelette.

food: one more reason i wish i lived by myself (so i'd have a whole kitchen to myself)
(why i haven't done more about doing so, has to do with living in a world that tries to make everything have to be about money.
that's one part of it. having to deal with anything human to do almost anything is another)
believe it or not, i actually like people,
but i also like to think my own thoughts, dream my own dreams, and believe my own beliefs
not the thoughts, dreams and beliefs, of a world dominating culture, out of touch with pretty much anything outside of itself.

also i thought i was clicking on a different thread. didn't realize i was in this one and was wondering why i was seeing all those lovely pictures of wonderful food.
silly me. it happens that the sequence of threads on the page changes in the space it takes to look away from the screen if i do so when i click on it.

so if i sometimes say things that seem obviously to belong in a different thread then they appear in, this is why it happens.
when someone else does, it sometimes occurs to me, that may be what happened to them too.

Oh man it's been forever since I've had me some fried chicken livers.

I've yet to get any good ones at a deli, they always make 'em too dry. I don't see chicken livers in the supermarket like like there used to be.
I only know of this one organic foods place here that has them. Gizzards too! lol
