Spaghetti. I used jarred sauce and meat that I cooked last Sunday and froze. The meat has bell pepper, onion, and fresh garlic in it. The noodles are egg noodles because hubby doesn't have teeth and those are easier for him than spaghetti noodles.
chicken breast stir fry ..i cut it into small chunks and pan fry with water chestnuts and celery like to add crunchy peanuts usually but i didnt have any
Grilled some pork loin chops last night. Corn on the cob, devilled eggs, grilled zucchini and I bought two pasta salads to have with it. One was rotini summer salad and the other was a pasta caprese. It was good.
That's a tough one, I'd go for either! I'm glad I just ate, Heat's pictures always get me drooling. I had lox and pitahaya (dragon fruit) for lunch and ribs for dinner made in the tajine. The ribs were sooo good this time. I made my own BBQ sauce and even salt free it ended up really flavourful. I'm sure the Vidalia onions had something to do with it, I usually use regular yellow onions.
I made butter chicken curry over basmati rice last night. Patak's simmer sauce saves my ass on nights when I don't have a lot of time. I also had rice left over from the night before when I made burritos, so it was on the table in like 20 minutes. This was good because I had to gas up my car, get kitty to the vet, and buy band aids before the store closed. The burritos the night before were made with crock potted pork carnitas. Super easy and tasty, made with a $5 pork shoulder roast on sale (bonus!). I tried to make them kind of Chipotle-style with rice, black beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream, avocado, cilantro and lime. I bought arugula, but got excited and forgot it when assembly time came. I spent the whole time thinking "something is missing," but finished the damn thing before I noticed the greens sitting on the counter. -_- I have so many leftovers today, omg. I made a taco bowl for lunch today. So stoked.
Garlic soup is one of my favorite cold remedies! I make mine with one bulb of garlic and a potato in chicken broth and some other seasonings and then puree it. It's like drinking garlic mashed potatoes and it makes me very happy. The recipe I use says to top it with a raw egg yolk and then sprinkle with fresh parsley. Definitely yummy that way, but just as good without it.
Mayan chili with avocado. It's the first time I've had avocado with my chili. They really go well together.
Hey you make the most interesting foods! Dragonfruit with bagels and lox - AMAZING combination! And I have a tagine also, same color. It cooks really well... a good slow cooker in the oven. Thanks for sharing this!
Garlic soup has to be quite curative indeed. I think there is a book in the works about healing yourself with foods and herbs
I've never tried mine in the oven. I use it on the stovetop with a heat diffuser (to prevent it cracking). They're great cooking vessels. I like how tagines give results somewhere between a crockpot and oven roasting.
Kaiserschmarren So simple, so good Very popular in ex Austro-Hungarian Empire countries https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaiserschmarrn
I had kohlrabi left over from the fermenting, so I made kohlrabi chips to go with lox for lunch. I just sliced the kohlrabi thin, coated the pieces in a bit of olive oil, sprinkled some spices on top and baked on 400F, 10 minutes each side. They were delicious! I also cooked up a vegetable fried rice dish and put it into individual portion containers in the freezer. I tried to mimic M&M Meat Shops' vegetable fried rice minus the salt. I used herbs and spices instead and along with the veggies, it had egg in it which I really liked, so I used that as well. It turned out really tasty.
Oh my lort lucy, i just want to live with you and eat your beautiful food forever. I feel like you probably have pristine sheets in your sparebedroom too, so i will just be waiting on my invite..
Finally decided to try-out some of this frozen shit but no amount of soy sauce or left-over duck sauce from previous Chinese take-out could mask the awful taste. Hotwater
