Just when I declared my hatred for Jello, and just when I had posed a question about wwydi (what would you do if) you were given a food made you gag,

Well HELLO I'm going to be makin' JELLO!

Yes, my decades long moratorium on Jello is about to end.

Chicken Casserole... Mixed veg and cream of chicken soup topped with chicken breast chunks and stuffing on top. Bake for half an hour at 400 and done. Super easy meal tonight since my old man is sick in bed and garbage disposal wasn't home to eat the plates.

Tomorrow, Garlic ginger wings and Old Bay wings with some cheesy tots...

It's maple syrup season so I thought I'd try some new recipes. I made Maple Syrup Poached Eggs for breakfast. As the title implies, you poach the eggs in maple syrup instead of water. It was really good!

About 40 pizzas. Last night, however,I made a beautiful chicken noodle soup. Noodles were frozen, though, I didn't have the patience to do them from scratch

I'm jealous of maple syrup season. Just curious, what is the average price of it in areas where it is produced?

It costs like $10 a pint here

It's the same here in Quebec. I paid $10.49 for 540 ml, a little over 2 pints.

Today I made maple glazed wild pacific salmon fillets for dinner, with couscous and a mixed salad with a maple vinaigrette. Kefir and mango for dessert. The fillets were delicious.

I made spaghetti sauce completely from scratch. I usually just add some water and seasoning to tomato paste but I don't think I'll ever go back to making it that way again. It was a bit labor intensive (I had to peel like 15 tomatoes) but so fresh and tasty.
