I am just about to smoke some green and then shower and then I'm going to start the BBQ up at all hours, throw down some mince and bacon and I've got fresh hamburger rolls and condiments. hamburgers. Yes!
I made my hamburgers but I started the meat from scratch so in between my patty was some chopped up jalapeƱos and cheese for flavor. that was yummy. Then I decided to bake so short rest biscuits but I used a pineapple marshy paste as a filler. It was really yummy and worked well. I decorated the outside of the treat like a pineapple but they kinda look like mini grenades now. Lol
Those burgers do sound good irm. I made linguine with grilled chicken, spinach, lemon, ricotta and parmesan.
NOTHING......I Cheated And Bought Take-Out......No Cooking.....No Washing Up......WIN WIN For Moi...... Cheers Glen.
I got a really bad chocolate craving last night so I made a chocolate bundt cake. It's the only thing I had the ingredients on hand for since it doesn't require eggs.
I made a turkey goulash, new recipe. It was delicious! And mango with kefir for dessert. I've always liked mango, but it goes so well with kefir.
I heated up a Cowboy Casserole, that I'd frozen a couple of weeks ago, and some leftover pinto beans. I'm saving the cornbread for a midnight snack.
Here's a recipe: Cowboy Casserole adapted from a recipe at Taste of Home 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (I used 80/20) 1 medium onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 can (15.25oz) whole kernel corn, drained 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup milk 4 tablespoons sour cream 1 bag (30 oz) frozen tater tots (I used Ore-Ida Crispy Crowns) Before I got ready to make this casserole, I let the Crispy Crowns sit on the counter to defrost for an hour or so. The original recipe used still frozen tater tots, but I felt they wouldn't cook as well if they were still frozen solid. In a large skillet cook the onion until tender and translucent. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Add the beef and cook over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the mixture and place into a large bowl and set aside. In a small bowl combine the soup, milk and sour cream. Whisk until smooth. Add to hamburger mixture and stir to combine. Add corn and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Gently mix to combine. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer half of the Crispy Crowns on the bottom, pour the hamburger mixture over the top and then layer with the other half of the Crispy Crowns. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bake at 350 for 25 - 30 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy.
I was hoping thinking it was a casserole served by a hunky cowboy. No wonder Aeri has it regularly! :-D
I did a bit of cooking today. I made a chili to put in the fridge for tomorrow (that way the beans soak up the flavours overnight since they're saltless beans and otherwise taste like paper). I made a pot of jasmine brown rice. For dinner I pan fried a rainbow trout fillet, had it with some of the rice, steamed asparagus and a baby greens and strawberry salad. Kefir and blackberries for dessert. Man was it good!
I put a gallon bag of Chicken Noodle Soup in the crock pot. I made it last month. I've been craving garlic so I put a clove of crushed garlic in the bowl with it. It was awesome and really hit the spot.
You all are making me hungry here at work. I've eaten several things today, but the only things that I cooked were scrambled eggs, and some oatmeal earlier today.
I had a chili for dinner that I had made yesterday, with a bit of white medium cheddar cheese. That went well together. Kefir and mango for dessert. I spiced up the chili more this time. My mouth was a little warm after the meal. lol
