Made long grain brown rice from health food store....not minute rice...the kind that takes awhile to cook.....then added it to lentil soup.....then put chunks of cracker barrel sharp cheddar white cheese in it....and sprinkled with parmesan...last minute I cut tiny tomotoes in half to add to the mixutre. so there was that cold, sweet surprise with many bitefuls in hot other stuff...out of this world and I am full.... Oh, yeah...sprinkled crushed red pepper in there, too.
I'd like to add that Kraft "American Slices" aren't "american cheese". Also, if you buy "parmesan", you can be sure that you are not getting the real deal, the name of the cheese is "parmigiano reggiano", anything else is fake and nothing like the real thing.
There is a place in Berkeley that specializes in different variations on poutine: Smoke’s Poutinerie The good thing is they are open until 4am so you can hit them after the bar closes. I believe it's a chain so I'm not sure where else they have them. They are something I only eat occasionally since they seem like a heart attack waiting to happen. C/S, Rev J
I cooked Cowboy Casserole, and made 3 more that are in the freezer. http://moscatomom.com/cowboy-casserole-recipe-a-pinterest-success/
This morning I most likely will cook up some ham steaks to have with pineapple rings, mashed potato and a nice easy salad. I've been craving it for days.
That looks good! That reminds me...I still haven't cooked that sweet potato recipe, that you posted, yet.
We can't have that! Ok maybe we can. Thank you Aeri. Tonight I made a pork roast. The topping was diced tomatoes, green onions, peppers, celery, oregano, chives olive oil, pine nuts and diced mozzarella melted in. Garlic mashed potatoes, candied acorn squash and roasted baby beets.
Popcorn is awesome. For added taste I will sprinkle about a tablespoon or so apple cider vinegar over the popcorn. I use an air popper so my popped corn comes out very bland but very healthy. Now to counteract this health issue I melt a teaspoon of butter, add my salt to the melted butter and then add the vinegar to the butter and salt mix. The I use a soup spoon to poor over my popped corn. It's the best. The best, Expanse.. the best.
That sounds good! I use an air popper most of the time too(my shitzu likes it better cooked in canola oil, lol). Sometimes I put only black pepper on it. Tonight I put hot pepper sauce (tobasco sauce) and grated parmesan cheese. I think I'll try your recipe next time
Oh wow I've never thought of cheese or pepper. I forgot to mention I also have salt and vinegar potato chips and I crunch them up then sprinkle over the top too and then stir it all around. Salt and vinegar chips are the most awesome with popcorn especially if your corn is still hot and the chips heat up.
I never would have thought of that. Niw that I that you've posted that, I'm thinking crumbled salt and vinegar chips could probably added to a lot of things.
I never thought just black pepper would be good on popcorn, but I found some prebagged black pepper popcorn, on the way to work, at the grocery. I tried it and really liked it. The stuff from the grocery has salt too though.
Wait, does this mean no more carrots? It's not half as much fun to taunt you with gourmet popcorn in the picture!
I still have to have my carrots nearby at work, for when I come to this thread. It's either carrots or my pencil.
