I had a rough day, managed to feed my family a healthy veggie soup but didn't have an appetite earlier so I'm eating a late dinner of Kraft Mac n cheese, I'm so ashamed lol. I might follow it up with a kale salad for some balance

    which is more simplified 14x^4 + 5x^3 + 5x^2 + 5x -9 ; or 14x^4 +x(5 + x + x^2) - 9 ... im going with the second one i guess.

yeah, I flunked that practice test ... simplifying complex fractions with functions in the numerator and denominator where f(x) is some crazy polynomial ... close but not quite. i fucked up too much :/ Some of those problems took like 3 pages of paper to solve! And I sometimes lose track of where I am when I got three pages of paper filled with different steps of solving it!!! Ugh...

as far as cooking .. i haven't had time to cook anything today, and probably won't ever.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't caught on in America.

Apparently there are several places in the USA that have started selling a bastardised vrsion of poutine, but call them disco fries and try to pretend it's some new American thing...

I'm pretty bummed they don't have those here. I feel like I'm missing out on complaining to a manager about the lack of cocaine on my disco fries.

When I cooked in diners it was actually quite common to have people order fries with cheese and gravy on it...isn't that what poutine is?

    It never appealed to me.

My favorite was to "double fry" fries (until they were about crisp), put cheese on them and put the dish in the steamer for 2 hits of steam...and voila!

I would love to have that right now...but alas, that's not gonna happen.

Today I made a large pot of vegetable/hamburger soup.

I also boiled, then baked a chicken...that is for us AND the cats. BB mostly though. :)

I cooked my brown rice. Is basically just white rice, tomato sauce and lots of mince. Keeps the belly warm on a cold night. :) sprinkle some cheese on the to melt, some diced green olives with red tongues to change the certain bites and taste. :)

Cheese curds, not just any old cheese.

It's basically our national dish, let us have this one :p

I tried the cheesy fries in America pretty much as soon as I got there and I wasn't the biggest fan, I just like ordinary fries and think the salt makes or breaks it. Gravy to me can be hit or miss too. Too fine, too thick, too watery, too salty.. I think a thicker in house gravy goes a long way. I wasn't too thrilled with the sweet potato fries either. I love sweet potato mash, but only in mash form for sweet PO.
