That is so cool. I really want to go for a run naked but the closest I've got was recently on a late night run I took my shirt off for the last part. You are an inspiration! And the last thing I did outside naked was go for a swim in the sea.
Not my latest naked escapade but one of my favorites. In early May, 1995 I went on vacation with my best friend to Colorado. His Mom & Dad were building a log cabin in the tiny town of Lake City, elevation of 12,800 feet. It took a two days to acclimate myself to the lack of oxygen that I was used to. His Dad had found an older model Jeep that he had been on the lookout for my buddy who wanted to buy one. The first couple of days we did some sight seeing on the old mining trails around the 8000 to 9500 feet elevations before we went up higher. On the third day, we drove up to Engineer Pass. It's a high mountain pass at an elevation of 12,800 feet (3.901 m) above the sea level that can only be traversed by 4 wheel drive vehicles. We got up to within 40 feet from the top and we were stopped by snow, 35 feet deep! It would be about a month before it was passable. Since there was no other traffic, my buddy decided to change the oil in the Jeep. He had the oil, the pan and a big jug to hold the old oil. While he was doing that, I decided to take a walk in a meadow that ran next to the road. There were patches of about 2-3 inches of snow with a few tufts of grass and numerous mountain flowers poking their way out to get as much of the bright sun rays that were shining down that day. Since I was pretty much by myself in one of the most beautiful places on earth, I got naked except for tennis shoes and socks to walk around and enjoy Mother Nature. With the sun shining brightly, reflecting off of the snow, I wasn't cold at all. After about 15 minutes, I heard something. Another Jeep making it's way closer to the top. I immediately squatted down behind some rocks so whoever it was, they couldn't see me. They talked to my buddy for a few minutes before they turned around and drove back down. When I came back to our Jeep, my buddy started laughing his ass off at me nearly getting caught. I explained to him about the meadow walk with this; "For me being an Atheist, that was as close to a religious experience that I've ever had."
Presently enjoying my first coffee of the day on the porch naked. Slept all night naked and sat outside yesterday afternoon on the porch with my wife and brother in law. I was the only one without clothes though we are all nudists.
Wow this sounds like a nice adventure! Probably the experience would have been even more intense if you had shed your shoes too? The highest alpine pass I ever crossed in conjunction with some nudity was the Col de la Lombarde in the French Maritime Alps, which is a connection between Italy and France at about 2350 m (7710 ft). Pretty low compared with “your” pass, but in the Alpes one of the higher ones. It sometimes was part of the famous bike race “Tour de France”. But usually it is pretty secluded and only used by locals. The pass only can be used in a few summer months, so it never got a main traffic route. I did travel there with my then boyfriend years ago and as he was pretty keen in nudism, we did both ride nude this day and also did explore the the fortification ruins next to the pass summit with not a stitch on. It was fun but not risky, I guess there were only three or four cars passing by as long as we were up there strolling around and probably no one noticed about our outfit (and even if, probably nothing would have happened).
Recently we had kind of a heat wave for about three weeks with temperatures up to 38°C (100F). When I was at home, almost every evening I did spend nude outside on my terrace enjoying the warm nights while reading, emailing etc. and having a glass of wine. The neighbors who can look onto my terrace don’t mind, thank god, and the two or three evening visitors I had in this time know about my “hobby” and don’t care either.
"Wow this sounds like a nice adventure! Probably the experience would have been even more intense if you had shed your shoes too?" It was definitely a nice adventure. And I'll admit that if I would have walked around in the snow barefooted it most certainly would have been more intense, so intense instead of lasting 15 minutes it would have been over in less than 15 seconds. Brrrrr. The wild animals and birds living in the deep valley next to the meadow would have all heard my chattering teeth. Nude bike riding in the Alps? What a fantastic experience. I smell jealousy in the air and it's coming from me. Since I hadn't heard of it, I Googled "fortification ruins at Col de la Lombarde". I'm so envious of you being able spend time exploring such an historical site. And to do it nude made it 100 times better. Life long memories for sure. As a fellow "public nudist", I'm really happy for you.
Oops sorry, seemes i wrote a bit misundestandable. We were not bike riding. We were riding in a camper van then. Anyway, thank you for your nice reply!
Actually, it's pretty popular with motorcyclists. I hope to ride it, Imogene, and the other Silverton/Ouray area passes someday myself.
