Sorry for your loss. Hang in there. I can definitely relate. I had 3 dogs that had grown old and I lost all three within 2 years. It was tough. I will never forget how much peace and love they gave me. They will always be part of me. I ended up getting a new puppy and I can't believe six years have flown by. Taking my dog for walks brings me peace. That plus music and occasional meditation.
For me, peace is not so much the existence or presence of something. It is more the absence of stressers and things you don't like. Some people find peace in the noise - not me.
oh I like your answer I sometimes do find peace in someone else's high energy, or a buzzing city vibe that I can take in
Calmness, quiet, real quiet. The most peaceful moments of my life have been the times I have found myself driving on an empty highway with the windows down in the middle of the day. Something about the blue horizon, the clouds above, the wind in my hair and no one around. Best peace here on Earth.
That's similar to me. Except, I am more at peace in the woods. It's like trees stand silent and just listen to my woes.
For me peace has always been nature. Strolling through woodland paths, paddling over clear blue waters and even climbing tall walls of granite satiates my serenity needs. I find these activities allow me to focus on that moment, by focusing on that moment all of my troubles and world problems don’t exist.
