I have tried all of those beers. Some of them I drink quite often, like Duvel and Maredsous.

A four-pack of Duvel runs around $13.00-16.00 in Rochester. Yes, it is rather expensive.

If you think that's expensive, Rochefort Trappistes runs around $10 for a single 12oz. bottle here in the states. Orval is $6 a bottle.

~Old Tiger - Thanks man - If i'm ever in Belgium (which is quite possible because i travel a lot) i'll have to take you up on the offer... I enjoy the hard stuff as well, but only drink that around people who are really nice because i make the most horrible faces after a shot! - (It's pretty funny though... :p)

I'm drinking Fraoch Heather Ale. I saw it at the liquor store and I thought "Geez, I've never had Heather Ale before..." so I picked up a pack.

According to the bottle: "Fraoch is Scotland's native ale. Heather ale has been brewed in scotland since 2000 b.c. Brewed using heather flowers and scottish malt, it has a distinctive floral aroma, full malt character, and a dry wine-like finish. As one of the oldest styles of ale in the world there are many legends and folklore surrounding it."

It definitely has a floral aroma. It tastes like I'm drinking a vase of flowers, it's not bad at all, quite pleasant actually, but it is definitely different and it was quite a shock when it touched my lips for the first time. It's kinda pricey, so I don't think it will be a regular in my fridge, but I'm definitely glad I tried it out, now I know what heather ale tastes like :)

By the way Fernanda, that dog in your signature is the sweetest looking dog I've ever seen, I just want to give him a big hug :)

(edit, this photo opportunity just sort of presented itself, so I had to post it.)

Mmm dead guy ale was good...and that Heather ale up there sounds great!

I had a bottle of Post Road breweries Pumpkin Ale the other day, pretty rare in the UK I can assure you!

It was pretty good, not much of a pumpkin flavour to it though unfortunately:(
