"Parliment of Whores" - PJ O'Rourke

Its funny as hell, and the guy makes excellent points! He has a simple way of breaking down the political process/problems and then making them hilarious!

Good to see lots of people reading Kerouac...he's one of my favorite authors.

Right now I'm reading "Walden and other stories" by Thoreau, just finished the essay on Civil Disobedience. Every American should read that.

As far as other books, I just finished "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley and "Illusions" by Richard Bach. Both very good books.

I just bought "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I'm excited to start reading it because I've always heard good things about it.

I'm not gonna lie....I hated that book. I don't get the hype.

However, I do know one book that gets hyped that deserves it: "Catcher in the Rye." That is a phenomenal book

See...I liked Gatsby...it wasn't horrible...but it was one of the better books we read last year...

And I think that Catcher In the Rye sucked. My taste though...

"The Power of Now" By Eckhart Tolle... VERY interesting... he breaks down the basic concepts of Zen Buddhism into an easier to digest, logic over emotions approach... he still acknowledges spirituality, but also keeps the emphasis on conscious, physical conditions as well... if you need grounding, this guy really makes it easy...
