Last night I listened to a suite from "Creature From The Black Lagoon" composed by Hans J. Salter from the CD "A Symphony Of Film Music" from Intrada records. Originally released on vinyl around 1974 the music is an exceptional example of classic B movie scoring by a master of the craft of supplying scores for hundreds and hundreds of films during the 1940's, 50's and 60's.
Couple of evenings ago I listened to the Ry Cooder score from the film "Trespass" featuring John Hassell. This recording is far out shit from an accomplished master of the bad and beautiful! Avoid the CD compilation of rap songs. The score recording from Ry Cooder is in a league of it's own!
I'm listening to the local radio station (and I'm surprised it's not country) and the song they're playing now is "Message in a Bottle". I don't know who it's by, because the Google results confused me (half said just "Sting" and half said "Sting & Police")... but yeah. I like this radio station.
