today I woke up at noon and worked on some music with the bf, but he is all adderall'd out so I'm just letting him do his thang right now.. I have a fuck ton of work to do, rly should get on that. hmm... did anyone listen to our music??

i had a random cute guy say that he liked my hair today. yay!

 

i went into the city and drew portraits on teh subway, in the coffee shop, in the harvard book store, on the subway, in the restaurant, at the bar....

a girl on the subway was watching and she said to me "this is wonderful." and i think she meant it in a way that would imply not just my drawings, but my style and approach to viewing the world with an easy eye.

i'm painting a picture for my mother for mothers day gift... it wont be done for a while, but i have the frame.

I don't know I don't even know how it started,Because we had a lock in as we tend to do since I started there and I get paralytic because the drinks are free. But there's been jokes about my weight for weeks. I think it's because I'm not uber skinny like my boss or one of the other bar maids. They ask me questions like "do you get out of breath quick?" and "when you look down can you see your feet?" "How do you feel when you look in the mirror and when was the last time you looked in a full length mirror?"

They do that shit cuz you havnt done anything back. They'd respect you more if you gave them some hell back. Sometimes you do just gotta fight fire with fire! I usually do give them hell back but, then again, They don't normally talk about my weight to my face. I dunno maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion, It was a pretty shitty night because this other guy's wife kept giving me evils whenever I talked to the guy and I kept glancing at her to see if she was giving me evils. Then he started on me asking me what the fuck my problem was and why was I trying to cause shit and problems for everyone.

But I think he meant why was I trying to cause shit for his wife who was an embarassment fucking dancing like a spack to the spice girls with their damn kids. They got in to and argument and he called her an embarassment quite aggressively it was lols.

Generally I get on with everyone and apparently they love me which is why they can feel they take the piss. I hope it goes better next week.

 

i know making comments about one's looks can be heartbreaking. i have always gotten shit from people, and i have found that what they say is true. Even if it sounds cheezy, it's b/c people like that are miserable in their own lives and probably have no self-confidence. you should pity them really. and "accidently" spill drinks on them.

 

HAHA! The dude who had the kids definately looked miserable as fuck and henpecked to fuck. The way him and his wife were talking to each other made me sad, he'd clearly taken a back seat since the kids and I think he regrets it. But yeah, it was fucking funny to watch.

Yeah it is the men saying that. My boss doesn't think I'm fat at all. She told me to punch him. One of the barmaids who wasn't on her shift tried to take over from me too. A bad night that got worse. I'm hoping it'll be much different next week.

I had some horrible people at my last place, they would tell me that I should go to their house and they would sort my hair for me, and that I should change the way I dress. Eventually it really got to me and I became angry and told them to back off.

But yeah, see how it goes and don't let it get you down.

 

Today my best friends dog was put down.
I knew the dog the entire time he had it.. the whole 15 years.
He had a tuma in his spine which was slowly blocking off nerves.

That was my day.

Shit hdh that is horrible They could be testing you.. cus you are the new girl. Give them shit back and they'll know not to mess with you in future. It is awful that they are saying such personal hurtful things, but you have got to rise above it and kick them in their metophorical balls with your witty insulting responses OR just quit and find a new job.. I couldn't imagine being attacked like that :S

Today I made an oil burner that took all day. Didn't do anything else. Smelly's vase cam out the kiln, which is cool. Today is my first day of wheat-free-ness, and I'm going to buy a hula hoop.
